Beta Patch 0.9.5

Important: This is an official update to WtWSMS. It includes the latest GitHub version, with countless fixes and changes that were not included previously. All previous version or links are therefor considered as obsolete. The GitHub version won't be supported if it causes you issues, only the latest official patch. There are no major new systems in this release, except for the melting-pots that are making a WIP introduction. We want to get the mod stable and relatively bugfree before starting to expand content.

Installation:
Installer
1. Download the installer and let it install the mod
2. Launch CK2
3. Select the mod "When the World Stopped Making Sense" in the Mod tab
4. Select the WTWSMS graphical sub-mods for which you own the required graphical DLCs.
5. Play!

Manual
1. Remove any WTWSMS mod folders and .mod files inside Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
2. Clear your gfx cache, by deleting the folder Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\WTWSMS\gfx
3. Extract the downloaded archive
4. Enter in the first folder of the extracted file and transfer it's content to Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
4. Launch CK2
5. Select the mod "When the World Stopped Making Sense" in the Mod tab
6. Select the WTWSMS graphical sub-mods for which you own the required graphical DLCs.
7. Play!

Note: There are still issues not fixed with this patch, we are aware of them. This a copy of the GitHub dev. All reported issues/bugs are listed in the second post of the sticky bug thread, if you find any new ones, please post in that thread. Colours, the Rise of Islam, migration and all GFX are WIP aswell as the 476 bookmark. LoR, RoI, SoA, TR and SoI content/events may not correspond to the specific setting. What is in this release tries to fix the essentials of the untested 0.9.0 release from the 31th.

How's the savegame compatibility with 0.9.4?

Probably not compatible: there were some renamings/changes in landed_titles.txt to solve duplicated baronies, as well as move of a county to another de jure duchy.

Good news is that the strange/unexplained engine bugs (A.I. not accepting diplomacy actions, bad units gfx, ...) are now gone.

Can I use the landed_titles from the last version with this version?
I dont think so, or atleast not for the legions or any title localisation in Britain aswell as corrections to the holy sites.
Are the steppe empires formable now?
No, not as of this version.

Going to try this new patch now. As long as it doesn't crash I won't be irate whatsoever! :D More features will come when they come.


Update: Got a CTD a few years in.. don't know if it's going to be common or not but we'll see. I sighed but I am not too surprised.. this IS early release after all. Keep up the good work because otherwise this is an amazing mod!

Getting CTDs all over the place.

Followed the instructions, removed the gfx folder and got rid of the old WTWSMS items from the mod folder but everytime I try to boot up the mod it gets to the loading screen and promptly crashes without a fight every time. I tried removing the portraits one at a time and then booting it up, but no dice.

Halp.

Installation issue, what folders do you have inside your main "WtWSMS" folder? You are using all of the modules checked in the launcher?

I see a lot of cultures in here in this one, and they all seem to be very identical... Roman/Latin look the same, etc... Are you still formatting and narrowing down culture names/groups?

So I'm assuming I'm missing something that is glaringly obvious but how am I supposed to know the correct checksum if you don't tell me what the checksum is? (the OP just leaves a blank space after checksum)

At first I could play for maybe 10 years or so but eventually I started getting CTDs that just became more and more frequent to the point where the game now crashes after a few months of play. I started playing it along with some other mods, Your personal castle and some other in various combinations, but as the CTDs started I figured I should disable the other mods which ironically just led to less stability :D (well, that is to say I doubt there was any real correlation but it just seemed a bit amusing)

That said I'm having the same problem with other major mods so whatever the problem is I'm guessing it's not specific to any one mod. I did enjoy what little time I managed to get from the mod, I'm quite humbled by the massive work you've done, and I hope the random CTDs will go hang themselves some time soon so I can follow through on my doomed attempt to save the WRE :happy:

hey i am really into this mod from the outside but i haven't been able to install it could you maybe post a video showing esactly how to install it
From the outside? What does that mean exactly? And no, to install it follow the instructions and we can help you if you encounter any issues. I guess what we could do is to take screenshots for every step.
