I'm having a weird issue. I think there is an issue with the Indian units, or something India-related, because whenever India is on my screen, usually with a unit up, I have a bizarre graphical glitch, where there are a lot of gray flashes. I'll post a screenshot soon. For reference, I am using the latest GitHub version with the African Portraits submod on a Mac.

I actually have no idea of what could be causing that. Have you tried playing vanilla?

Is it possible your install may not be good? In many Paradox games, usually those graphical errors come from a faulty install.

It seems that a combination of validating my files, deleting the mod cache, and reinstalling the mod fixed it. I'm not sure which one fixed it, but it works properly now, I think. That was one of the weirdest bugs I've ever experienced, and I've played many games in my life!

Thanks for the advice guys, and I look forward to the future of this mod! :D

I noticed a couple more issues.

1. Cybelians have no holy sites.
2. It says in Marrakech that some castle buildings have been built there, and as such, the tribe has a lot more troops than it normally would. Is this WAD to combat the other kingdoms??
3. Some reformed pagan churches, like Dravidian, have a wrong flag for the title. For example, the Dravidian Church has the Finnic Church flag.
4. The rebel leader in Hispanic has Open Elective succession. Is this WAD too?

This is a known issue, if you have any specific suggestions feel free to post them in the suggestions thread.

Did the ruler of Marrakech build a castle or is it present there at start?

3. Some reformed pagan churches, like Dravidian, have a wrong flag for the title. For example, the Dravidian Church has the Finnic Church flag.
Sounds like a bug, noted.

4. The rebel leader in Hispanic has Open Elective succession. Is this WAD too?
No idea, @Erik W added that rebel.

1. I personally add the same holy sites as Anti and the other African/Mystery Cult religions as a placeholder. I feel that Nikomedia (I think it's called) and Rome should be holy sites, but I'm not sure about the rest.

2. Sorry, I was a bit unclear. The tribal holding has castle buildings in it in the files, and if you hover over the description for the tribe's levies, it says Castle Walls and some other stuff was built there, although they don't show up in the building list. I think some other provinces around it have them too, but I haven't checked.

Found some more bugs, boss!

1. Playing as the Roman Senate in 480, within a few days the government type changed to feudal.

2. The loading tips say that there is a Byzantine Senate, but I haven't found one. Is it no longer there?

3. This might not be a bug, but there is a loading tip that claims that deep in the Sahara, a nomadic tribe claims descent from the Punics. Is there one? Are they a horde?

4. Also not a bug, but is there any historical evidence for the Diadochi guy in the Persian Empire? I'd love to learn more about him if there is.

5. The duke of Powys is unplayable. Is this one WAD?

Oh no, he will not be removed. I just wanted to know who he was. My knowledge of the mod's characters are mostly Roman or Frankish.

Ah. I see. Speaking of that, what's up with the one Romano-Frank guy in Trier? Were Romano-Franks (not the French) a real thing?

They were a real thing technically. The ruler of Soissons is Romano-Frank in-game iirc and the culture was basically just a regional hybrid from the many hundreds of years of occupation and integration. On the subject of the Romano-Frankish guy in Trier, I haven't a clue, unfortunately. But considering the fact that Trier was historically under Roman occupation, it would be safe for me to assume that he is there purposefully and logically.

I presume you're talking about Arbogast? He was a Roman general of Frankish descent who is known to have been active in Trier in the 470s, and likely maintained control over the area (possibly under Frankish suzerainty later) until about 500.

Also, the Domain of Soissons is mostly Romano-Gallic, not Romano-Frankish. Syagrius is Roman though in WtWSMS IIRC.

1. Playing as the Roman Senate in 480, within a few days the government type changed to feudal.
This is a bug.

2. The loading tips say that there is a Byzantine Senate, but I haven't found one. Is it no longer there?
I'm not sure on this one actually, but it is for sure not a bug.

3. This might not be a bug, but there is a loading tip that claims that deep in the Sahara, a nomadic tribe claims descent from the Punics. Is there one? Are they a horde?
Not a bug.

4. Also not a bug, but is there any historical evidence for the Diadochi guy in the Persian Empire? I'd love to learn more about him if there is.
Yes, I believe there is, it is not a bug.

5. The duke of Powys is unplayable. Is this one WAD?
No, simple a consequence of a CK2 update, the game is now displaying what lacks history.

Ah.
Just to make things clear: this is not how it is in the mod. Soissons isn't and isn't supposed to be Romano-Frankish. However, what DC12233456789 is correct:
I presume you're talking about Arbogast? He was a Roman general of Frankish descent who is known to have been active in Trier in the 470s, and likely maintained control over the area (possibly under Frankish suzerainty later) until about 500.

Also, the Domain of Soissons is mostly Romano-Gallic, not Romano-Frankish. Syagrius is Roman though in WtWSMS IIRC.
And these are not bugs, it is WAD.
