I deleted everything in wtwsms gfx to "Fix"
the issues with the flags being black and the flags are fixed, now the faces are invisible.

And the nov issue might be with the version I AM playing on, I have like 3 copies of wtwsms master folder.
I've reproduced it, happens when entering "n", "s" or "f" (maybe few others) but most letters are fine. Weired !

Unfortunately, I keep reinstalling when the world stopped making sense because of all of the coa's are black.

Try deleting your \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\WTWSMS\gfx folder, that might help.
Do you use any other mod with WtWSMS ?
Conflict on coats_of_arms.txt will cause black CoA.
Also ,are the black CoA appearing for specific religions ?
no, and I am using a compatible add-on mod.
Better looking garbs wtwsms. it only changes faces anyway.

Did you manage to fix or find the cause of this problem? We seem to be having a similar problem with the letter "h" in BTWK.
No, I haven't looked into it yet. To locate the cause I was thinking of deactivating titles & geographical regions until it goes away, but given the number of titles...
speaking of titles, please remove the "never" requirement on some titles.
No, more titles should actually have it. We have a lot of vanilla left-overs that we will disable, either completely or at least until a certain date.
Managed to solve it - for us, it was because of a region that only had invalid titles defined into it (it had d_britonia, but we had commented that out because we decided not to add it yet). Probably something similar with yours.
