Pedantic means unimaginative.
Sorry, but let me just be pedantic for a moment:
pe·dan·tic [puh-dan-tik]
adjective
1. ostentatious in one's learning.
2. overly concerned with minute details or formalisms, especially in teaching.

Fanboy is not name calling it is a factual description of a proven behavior and logical fallacies.
No, it effects all, no matter whether they admit it or not. And I also have ran this game on 32 bit computer and had no problems with crashing so it is certainly not even 22% and when did ever 100% (core game) become less than 22% (32 bit).
Pedantic means unimaginative.
Exactly my point, since this issue affects all factions and religions and time periods in game, and since this issue is not dependent on the type of computer or dlc that anyone has it is of primary priority.
Well, this thread went off the rails pretty quick.
Shame, as there's actually a pretty nasty bug at the heart of it. Also, I'm pretty sure the "shallow and pedantic" line was once parroted by Peter Griffin in an attempt to seem more educated.
It is textbook name-calling. It's not a 'factual description of proven behavior and logical fallacies.' A logical fallacy is a failure in argument, not a descriptor. You seem to know nothing about rhetoric. Or are you seriously trying to use the phrase 'logical fallacies' in an attempt to throw a sheet over all arguments and sound smarter?
Some people are saying it's not an issue. There: not 100?. Not all people care for or interact with this element of the game. Still less. Also, you can still play the game. Maybe to less of an extent or less effectively than you want, but you can still play it. That's not the case for a lot more people. You're still failing to understand perspective.
This is not even an argument. I can't really believe some people's meaningless effort to just make a point against someone even if it is an irrelevant one. OP says one of the important game mechanics is broken for AI. So, history has nothing to do with it. That game mechanic is very important part of this game so Paradox should fix it. Not fixing a serious game bug for months is unacceptable. I remember a bug in HOI3 which is STILL around, this bug made air defense stats useless and even at this point some people tried to defend Paradox by saying "Well, it was not very important about gameplay afterall". It seems same logic applies here as well.
No, it does not.
Well, since the developers
No sonny, "name-calling" is the use of offensive names and fanboy is not one of themAnd besides those people were twisting a bug into a neutral or even desired effect. If I wanted to call them what I honestly feel about them, it would not be fanboy, but a much older word for people who display signs of irrational thinking.
Yes, it does, liar. Read the real dictionary.
They who do not fix old bugs but elect to put more buggy stuff into the game to make it even less playable. I have waited for enough, now it is time for something to happen about this issue!
Besides, the one in charge of the AI is Wiz, not those who are fixing game crashes so hold your high horses, them fixing this cannot change stuff that you have mentioned, it is only irritating to see them focusing on small dlc-related and new bugs instead of those old ones that effect the vanilla game. For me to take that position is logical. For you and that other guy to deliberately lie, and for those other 2 to twist logic and just spam whatever funky rationalization of mistakes into improvements in order to try to lessen for whatever reason my rightful complaint is just plain pathetic and petty.
They are only here, on this thread in a 50% representation because all reasonable people, like frolix42 and noobieone and other, critically thinking, fine gamers have mostly either given up on CK2 or visit this forum every once a month hoping to find out that the game is finally to expected standards, so mostly fanboys are left, praising and blindly defending anything that Paradox does.
Ok, I didn't want to get involved in the actual debate here, but please provide a clear list of the all the people that have quit playing the game because of things like what you describe (and why they did so), and why they are the only rational, clear thinking people that play the game. You've just insulted everybody on this forum, and I would like a velar, codified list of reasons for it. No hyperbole, name calling, fanboy-labeling or likes.
While I agree that this AI issue ought to be fixed, the OP has nothing to his argument against the company behind it but assumptions, hyperbole, and labeling.
He is just an angry flamebaiter who happens to ride on a point that is actually valid.
We should probably just deprive this guy completely of attention so he goes back to the sea where he came from (he only has like 30 posts and the community is feeding him).
But, alas, people still take the bait in 2014. (no offense to you crackd, I understand your eagerness to defend the team and the game, but arguing with this guy will be fruitless.)
He also made posts about the rothschilds on other threads so its obvious hes just a deluded web-addicted shit kicker.
I just wanted entertainment at work.
It was. He was copying the news reporters.
In either case, is the bug reported in the bug forum, along with all necessary steps to replicate it? If not, someone tell me how to do it verbatim and I'll go make the report there myself.
It's definitely an issue but I fail to see how you are doing anything to help it. If it has been present for a while, as you say, then there are plans to fix the bug, if it's possible (believe it or not, some times it can be hard to fix a bug, especially with AI). I doubt that Groogy is purposely ignoring this bug to piss you off. I really doubt he'll see this thread and say. "Wow some guy who just joined the forum is really furious (at the wrong guy according to the title). He loves to call people names and condescend to them, oh no I guess I should stop ignoring this bug and do something!"
I've personally reported it twice since December (first time back when I initially noticed it, a second after ROI released and it was still happening), and both times gave guides on how to reproduce it.
It's not too hard. Start a new game at a date where Holy Orders are already prevalent. Make sure you have a Christian and Muslim who are within range for holy wars (I like to use Aragon and Africa). Use the console to give the Christian King enough piety to hire a holy order multiple times, then have the Sultan declare a holy war. Turn on observe while using the Muslim state and watch the Christian capital. Unless the holy orders get caught into personally joining a war themselves, you will see the Christian king raise the holy order, usually let its morale get almost or close to full (occasionally they'll manage to get them to walk a county or two), and then they'll disband them.
I've even seen it in the most recent beta patch. Playing as the Kingdom of Trebizond, and I joined a war against a Catholic Byzantium, who was also attacked by Muslims. After the Muslim invasion started, sure enough: they started raising and lowering the Teutonic Order.
You're calling them fanboy. You are using it as an invective. Therefore, it is a name. I'll play the brigand if that's what you want. And just because you call someone a 'fanboy' as a cognate or euphemism for worse words doesn't change the intent.
The Merriam-Webster Online dictionary is now the official source for the English language?!?!
They do fix old bugs. Just not fast enough for your tastes, and not before fixing technical issues, which always take precedence.
And why are you bringing up games that Paradox didn't make? Impire is made by Cyanide. Fatshark did WotV. Radioactive did Gettysburg. Paradox is just the publisher. They spend none of their time developing these games. They only publish them.
Wiz does work on AI. He's also not the only one. And, were I to hazard a guess, I imagine he is also under someone who tells him what to work on, same as any job. And how many times do I have to say this: DLC content is managed and made separately from the base game by a completely different team with its own funds, own goals, and own resources. The devs talk about it all the time on the Paradox subreddit.
Now, if you want to fix this, go into the bug reports forum and make a post, and then let it be. That's the process. The devs do work on bugs. They work a lot. They have a lot of stuff to do, and your issue is not that important, all things considered.
Oh I know I'm not changing his opinion.
