i just started a new game as byzantium i finally made it into something time came to be called Emperor by the West also ....but there's no holy roman empire no one dismantled it i know this for sure austria was my ally all the way and its to early for someone to have dismantled it (if the ai does that) So What bug is this that ruined my game ?

The HRE automatically disbands if there is noone who could become emperor. Is all of the HRE protestant, while the catholic league won in the TYW?

nono its too early for that i restarted game and the hre didnt show up since the start...(i did the byz cores trick where you move the start date 100 years and then 100 years back) i think thats why its not showing up


EDIT: albania started game at peace with the ottomans also (didnt notice anything else)

now hre exists finaly after reinstall....but here was no HYW england and france just ate burgundy....

Ah, that...if you play around with the starting dates before actually beginning the new game, almost everything is messed up. Resulting in the stuff you've witnessed. Just start a new game without changing the date more than once.

You broke the game. Now nobody's HRE is showing up in any of our games. The HRE is gone for good, as if it never existed, and thankfully none of us liked it and wanted to deal with it anyway. Pretty soon it'll probably be removed from Wikipedia.

On the start screen (where you choose countries before the game starts), did you click through any other date starts before starting the 1444 bookmark? I've read some people saying that doing that leads to some peculiarities, including England and France not being at war in 1444 bookmark start.

You broke the game. Now nobody's HRE is showing up in any of our games. The HRE is gone for good, as if it never existed, and thankfully none of us liked it and wanted to deal with it anyway. Pretty soon it'll probably be removed from Wikipedia.

They're a mix of Doc. Brown and Simon Phoenix, going back in time and destroying everything.

yeah must be that probably i only changed the date forward and backwards so all byz cores show up guess im gona have to core Rhodes no biggie and no mods ironman only

This might be fun to play with as Brandenburg or another HRE country without the HRE. Anyone have a simple way to get this to work?

Also what is the Byz core trick?

just move the YEAR CHANGE arrow up 100 years and then move it back No hre no albania ottoman war NO HYW also france and england eat burgundy immeadiatly fun game

byz core trick is kind of a bugfix since at normal game start byz has no core in cyprus,crete and rhodes if u change start date up 100 years and back 100 they get the cores

I get everything here but the HRE doesn't dismantle. I clicked to go to 1544 and then had to use the decade button to count back and then the single year button. Is that what you did? The 100 year down is greyed out for me.
