This is weird, I think. Germany and nationalist Spain and some others in Axis in war with both the Allies and SU, with NS losing against France, which is losing against Germany, which in turn is crushed by the SU...

So right now in 1940, France is in northern Spain and souther france, Germany exists almost solely on French soil (north of france being part of Spain) and SU pushing on.

Would post screenshot but this forum doesn't seem to accept attachments?

...and in the end, France survived long enough for SU to annex Germany and create the stalinist DDR, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Austria and Luxemburg (Workers state of Luxemburg? ). Part of liberated France remain Soviet.

Then what happens? Well, turns out the the new states are not at war with the axis, so now France has a free reign in the south, and annexes Nationalist Spain and Italy! The war is then over for a while.

But after about a year USA DoWs the Soviets and the show is on. But the puppet regimes in stalinist europe do not join in - only DDR comes to its master's rescue - which means there is a great buffer of neutral states in Europe. This results in a surprise, where the SU gets thrown out of Europe through a massive land war in greece and bulgaria, with stacks over 100 divisions at times.

As Sweden, having joined the allies, I use my pitiful forces to make some daring landings in northern Prussia and in the dardanelles, with mixed success.

Regrettably, it seems like the ai died in Rumania in 1943 - I left the game handsoff and went to sleep and now the front seems static...'

Unmodded game, although I played as GER in the beginning allying with Argentina and DoWing Brazil, war starting in 1938, Czech resisting partitioning i did not declare war on them, but went for Venezuela instead, which made the US finally remember the Monroe doctrine. When things just got to messy I abandoned it for a more passive role as a neutral SWE, carefully gauging whether joining the allies seemed safe.

This is by far the most dynamic and unexpected CG I have seen so far... great entertainment value!

You will have to convert the picture to JPEG using paint (for example).

Host it at www.imageshack.us and copy the last link (Direct link to image) and ctrl-v it here. Then write
(as in "pic" is the link to the picture).

You can also click

Nice going anyway!!

Yes SU declared war to germany in 1940 and was boiling my plans of a greater Turkic Empire but this time spain was in Turkish hands. So no war there, Germans hold longer and while cursing heavily I declared war to SU, I was not ready I had only vanilla infantry no fast units, my cavalry being for the moment doing partisan duty in spain. Yet slowly I conquered Caucasia, made a defensive line on the mountains and defended myself for 1.5 years. My smaller task force moved over persia, this was the long walk under snow.

For a moment I was proud with my infantry so brave even beyond the grave...

Well I hate DD AI, SU troops were waiting me in the central asia too, no easy conquest there. But losing Caucasia, many IC and lots of oil wounded SU offensive and defense a bit, And germans pushed them for a while, It is quite an interesting game.

OK, thanks for the help, here comes some pics.

This is approximately the low tide of France, look how close to disaster they are - but the SU annexes Germany at the last moment! (Playing Sweden, neutral at the time, the area is under fog of war)

Then how is this for a recovery in 10 months? This was possible since Switzerland, Austria and Yugoslavia were neutral, The french could conquer N.Spain and Italy at their leisure, the Soviets couldn't get there without amph landings.

Then this is a fair bit into WW3, after a 400-division slugfest in Soviet Greece, the front lands in Bulgaria-Rumania. Oh BTW, that was a complete stalemate in the narrow rockies of Greece until Yugoslavia in their infinite wisdom decided to Dow Oman. Great move, with some 250 French divisions on both sides of the country. :D

Anyhow, this was the most interesting AI behavior I have seen so far, it has been completely unpredictable but yet somehow "realistic" and involving.
