WS, OE, AE and truces in Art of War ?

Will there be any tweaking to the WS, OE, AE scaling or truce-lenght in AOW ? Cause with all these new provinces (hundreds of them) it looks like some or maybe most nations (for example ottomans) may fall completely reaching their historical borders. Also subjugating same countries may cause now much more AE, and OE than it should. I`m fine with harder conquest, however I`m not sure IF AI is ready to handel these new map correctly without some weird stuff going on till hotfix or two ^ ^ also it would be unreal that conquering lets say arabian penisula and near east (123 new provinces according to latest dev diary) region would create a world-span coalition and world war like situation.

I`m not concerned about world conquest cause (DUE TO NATURAL RESTRICTIONS, not some artifitial restrictions*) it should not be possible, at least not in a direct ownership way. I`m concerned about historical empires not able to reach proper size.


* it easy to, lets say set truces for 150 yrs, remove ways to avoid trucebraking and I guarantee nobody will conquer the world but that`s plain stupid. Manpower, logistic troubles, and other real or semi-real (you cannot model everything) factors should be limiting

You have some very valid concerns. I also hope that the player is still able to mimic for example the Ottoman-conquests.

They haven't said anything about WS and OE. They have said that AE will scale based on base tax. A 3 BT province would give about the same AE as it does today. 1-2 would give less, 4+ more.

I'm not sure I understand this question...

If you mean if the added provinces don't actually increase the total base tax - they do, and by a lot, especially in the rest of the world (ROTW).

With ROTW actually being buffed and "regional" powers having a lot more... well... power, we could just reduce the AE distance to what it was in 1.5 or 6 i believe, and let coalitions just be dealt with by the regional powers. So no coalition from Scottland to Muscovy and Ming, because Ottoman player decides to eat the Egypt in 10 years.

Where did you see confirmation of this? I saw the mention of AE scaling with BT, but no fixed figures. This is what I was expecting (an on-average AE increase, like every recent patch), but having it nailed down will be useful.

Those numbers are not something a paradox dev has said, just speculation.

Anyway, AE now scales to BT and WS costs have been tweaked. In particular the cost for province tradepower has been reduced, as the increased trade power values on ICoTs and estuaries made them a nightmare to conquer.

Well, I'm sorry for putting words in your mouth, I just approximated based on your post. And that's why I gave a direct link to your original post - so that people can check for themselves.
I doubt that at this early stage of development people really expect that even the devs know the final numbers for the DLC.

Excellent. While you're at it, could you please remove the expense added by buildings which are destroyed on conquest anyway?
