Wrong Holding problem...

I'm Duke of Holland/Brabant in Charly Start. Karl invaded saxony. Now he's made the Chief of Oldenburg my vassal, and there's a wrong Holding penalty. How do I get rid of the penalty?

The options seem to be:
1) Fob the guy off on another Duke
2)Find a way to turn the Chief into a Count.
3) Revoke and give title to a feudal vassal.

Which of the above would be the least headache inducing?

likely revoking if you can without a drawn out war, because if its saxony its not JUST a wrong holding, hes germanic too and therefore likely wants to kill you.

revoke his title and give it to a courtier, so youll have a happy christian count in charge rather than a germanic tribal

Grant it to a Catholic courtier. He/She will go feudal for you, despite the wrong religion.
