Bravo Zulu, Pip!

First off thanks to @markkur for his kind words and his wit, taste, and wisdom in choosing such an excellent scene to nominate. ;) Cheers mate!

Nothing like a 12 year gap between wins. :D I looked it up and that is now the record for most time between nods for this particular weekly. Well done, @El Pip and an excellent choice by you @markkur!

Congrats to @El Pip! :)
It is a mighty gap back to April 2006. I only joined in December 2005 and got given the award by a long departed chap called Alexus for Butterfly Effect and King Haakon and the Fjords. Much has changed in the years since, but I've still not managed to finish or declare abandoned either of them yet. Such is the price of being a Lord of Slower-than-real-time.

Maybe we could do a golden oldie month, cos there cannot be that many left on the forums who can win for an aar from 12 years ago and then win it again now for the same one. People have joined, risen to the top and unmerged in that time.

EDIT:

Anyone who thinks the golden oldie month is actually a good idea should go to the aar main page and take a gander at the Mr. T memorial thread for ancient AARs.
There are few who have the ambition to write such an epic work while having the lack of time to do it properly and a readership that stays loyal whist it very slowly emerges. I remain lucky to have them.

Congratulations!
Congratulations to a very worthy winner! :)
Congratulations @El Pip
Thanks!

Well done @El Pip. I will get round to read8ng this magisterial Work one of these days...promise :p
Promises, promises. Butterfly is my magisterial monster, this award is for the far shorter (but also amazing ;) ) Inevitable Defeat, which is far shorter at barely 60,000 words, while containing far more jokes, hip-flasks and pictures of Slovakian short haired goats. What more could you want?

Congratulations m’lord @El Pip! For both your extant (timeless, or is that endless?) AARs, but also commentary work on others, often with detailed research, which is great writing too. Huzzah! :)
Thanks for your too kind words. Definitely not endless, probably timeless though. :)

Many congratulations @El Pip!:) I can't see how you haven't won this for your excellent works in so many years, but perhaps it has somehow part of a plan to break the record with great margin?;)

My congratulations @El Pip !
Congratulations @El Pip!
My congratulations @El Pip .
Thanks!

Well deserved, @El Pip !
It is nice to know that after over a decade of this hobby I've not got worse at writing and am still worthy of this sort of award. The alternative is too terrible to contemplate...

Bravo Zulu, Pip!
Congratulations @El Pip!
Thanks gents (?). :)

Nomination in the next post, so it doesn't get lost in all the replies.

I am somewhat old school on this, I do think a Writer of the Week should have done some writing in the previous couple of weeks. I also would like this to stay away from a CK2 writer for a while, because once an award gets sucked into that sub-forum they are reluctant to let it go. ( ;) ). Luckily the writer I was thinking of met both of those requirements and has been doing some excellent work recently that richly deserves recognition.

My nomination for writer of the week is @Wraith11B , let me be the first to congratulate you!

Well done @Wraith11B and congrats on your first writAAR of the week nod! Here is to many more. :)

This is well deserved, so congrats @Wraith11B!

Many congratulations @Wraith11B! Certainly deserved from what I have seen of your works this far!:)

Congratulations!

Oh, oh man. Whew. Thank you very much, @El Pip, you have no idea how much this means to me! One of my family's dogs passed away last night, and so I've been in a bit of a funk all day. To @Idhrendur, @markkur, @Macke11, @crisrko, @Nikolai, @loup99, @Tom D., @Bullfilter, @coz1, @Specialist290, and @stnylan: thank you all for your support. It's been a long road just to get through 1937, and I'll be starting 1938 here this week (though probably not super punctual, loads of work to do!), so stay tuned!

Thank you all for everything you guys do to support me and all of the other WritAARs!
