Just a thought - how reliable do we think this screenshot is? Is it normal to have lower case "g"s of different font on the content description record (the last two "Crusader Kings")? Also look at how the dash in the final sentence is slightly off from the one which says Crusader Kings 2 beta.
Also notice the date: 2012-08-13 (a little old, no?)

Was there ever any doubt? I figured this was just a thread to have fun discussing what we'd like to have, along the lines of a pagan DLC. Not with any expectations that it would become reality.
And I still want my pagan Magyars if we ever get a DLC going back 100 years. And maybe if we go back far enough, we can have pagan Scythians, and I can imagine my ancestors worshiping their gods on Lysa Hora.
The two different "g"s really do give away the fakeness of the picture, now that I think about it.
The title is a bit Hollywoodian since Norse Paganism is just the majority religion of Sweden and virtually dead everywhere else. But I seriously doubt that the entire DLC is about Norse Pagans. Other pagan groups like Tengri and the Baltic Pagans were improtant in European history during the entire span of Crusader Kings.
And why are you so sure they will focus on Scandinavia? Scandinavia has been almost as much neglected in Crusader Kings 2 as Estern Europe. Continental Europe was the focus of CK2 before the DLCs.

Considering a vast majority of the lords in Scandinavia embraced Christianity early on there is still not very much to a Norse pagan religion year 1000. People are so naive to believe everything they hear...

I think you are right, It must be a fake. Everything is the same except for the gs.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:Now, that doesn't mean this isn't the name or the theme of the future DLC, but I had been fooled like everyone else. I hope the next DLC is based on something historic and important for CK2 time.
Thanks for posting that link. Confirms for certain that this is a fake (and a poor attempt at that).
Why? It's just one idiot with too much time on his/her hands who did it. Many people who posted in this thread were just having fun with the idea, and showed no evidence of believing in it at all. Was still fun to take guesses at what we'd want.
I'd gotten into the habit of questioning images like this after a bunch of fake "church signs" showed up on Facebook. You looked close, and you could see that the letters were off.
Legacy of Rome wasn't a fake, though, so there were reasons to think of this as a true leak. We shouldn't wait longer for the real one, now.
PS : Ho, I was fooled and I admit it totally. I really though it was a real thing and I wasn't so pleased of it.

Looking closely you can see the C & G are both incorrect, along with the spacing of the text.... the jpg artefacts also overlap the row borders. Also the whole text is inconsistent with its placement within the row (higher than the above row).
Its looking dodgy to say the least!
It took 61 posts and 3 hours 32 minutes to figure out it's fake. I'd say it still puts these forums ahead of most.
Looking at the LoR screenshot it's obvious it's a fake. The thought actually crossed my mind that it might have been a fake when someone mentioned that this is the exact same way we found out about LoR and I was suspicious about the date, but I lost interested before I could pursue it any farther. Now that I actually compare the two pictures the WoO screenshot was a really poor imitation. Good enough to fool everyone for a few hours, but it really lacked effort. I'm almost ashamed to have been duped by this.
