But please Paradox, I know the norse are everyone's favorites, but some love to the other pagans is very much desirable as well.

Now common Paradox, just tell us what's the deal here already.

Edit: notice the screencap shows the updating had been made less than an hour ago when it was taking, which can mean anything from a couple of seconds to 60 minutes. Is there really people out there stalking that feed to see if new changes pop up?

there's also a good possibility we'll see the timeline rolled back by a hundred years to pre-Christian Scandinavia!

Instead of researching a hundred years of history, and the hard to simulate migrations which were wrapping up in that period, they'll probably just make something to simulate the viking escapades at the game start.

Since a Norse DLC will need a start date before 1066, I think it might well be Norse only, making the Norse religion really unique (no generic pagans, thank you very much), and the Steppe Nomads and the Lithuanians deserve their own DLCs. Not to mention Paradox making a delicious trap for themselves, since turning the clock backwards mean the Khazars are still around, which means Judaism.

I think 1 DLC per pagan religion is overkill, unfeasible and undesirable. Do you really want them to spend the rest of the development cycle just fleshing oout pagans? Sure, all pagan religions in the time period are widely different, but in game terms, just how different are they that they'd each need brand new custom build features to warrant a separate dlc? I say a handful of religion-specific events is good enough to flesh out a pagan culture, togheter with some broad game mechanics that can apply to all religions (like interaction with Abrahamic religions).

I love this, I just hopes it actually adds new interaction options between pagan and non-pagan rulers. The name has me a bit nervous about this but I'll reserve judgment until official announcements are made.
