Hmm let me think.
Master of Orion 2 - Stellars: Moo2 had no game breaking bugs. So...
Call of Duty Modern Warfare - Black Ops: They recently re released the first modern warfare to many pleased fans who have been asking for the old gameplay and higher quality of the past game.
Baldurs Gate - Pillars of Eternity: Baldurs Gate was pretty much a great game and balanced out of the box. You didn't "need" a patch to play it there were no bugs like infinite duration insent plague.
Old MMORPGs vs Current: Old games were almost all open world. New games are not only freemium but they are highly restrictive mostly. When in UO you could build a house.
Dawn of War 1 vs Dawn of War 2: need not say any more
Not just FPS maps then vs now. But Level Design in Baldurs Gate vs Mass Effect.

I can post pretty much an essay on how you are wrong but I won't go further.
Sure there were some shit games in the past but nobody cared about them. All the good titles that people remember were mostly clean release games without nickle and dime DLC patches.
Vampire Bloodlines and Temple of Elemental Evil from Troika more or less match Stellaris at release.
This game is a throwback to the EU3 release. Not good by any reasoning.
Dude, no.... I have had all of those games when they were launched. Bug Free? Only if you have the lenses of nostalgia on. I had MoO 2 on release. It had PLENTY of bugs, some gamebreaking.
Stop.... Don't be disingenuous.
