I think it would be awesome if the nations that have and unlocked the idea ''Qizilbash'' -which are Ardabil, and Persia- would be able to train special ''Qizilbash Cavalry'' unit, just like Manchurian Banners. Because they are volunteered ''murids (religous voluntary warriors)'', they would have more morale and less maintenance cost. And it would require piety to train them. I also think that Persian mission tree is very short and uncomlicated compared to many other nations in the game, even though it's a nation that could be a regional even global power... these are my thoughts that I wanted to share and I hope it helps the games further developments!

I think it should just be generic Turcomans so it's not only an Ardabil/Safavid Persia thing. Ardabil could get an idea that boosts the amount they get.

What states other than the Safavids would have used the Qizilbash?

I think that any nation that forms Persia should have acces to Qizilbash, but in the case of Ardabil they should have it like early acces. Not sure though should other Persian minors have acces to it.

Seems like a good idea to me. It might help Ardabil punch above its weight, which would be good because we rarely see an Ardabil-formed Persia as it is.

Persia needs a better mission tree (with conquest of Central Asia and Punjab, and maybe Egypt and Syria for AH goodiness).

I wouldn't expect unique army type just for an opm, but if it were more broadly available (e.g. Persia or anyfeudal theocracies with right culture and religion) it could work.
As for missions it has been mentioned that the Middle East is on the dev's wishlist for more/revised missions, so there is hope, but it may be quite a while.

The unit would represent the Turcoman tribesmen living in the area, not just the Qizilbash. So anyone in the greater Iranian area could use them. Make it restricted to nations of the Iranian culture group.

Perhaps it could be implemented as a Shia equivalent [with some fusion with the Steppe Nomad tribes estate] to the Rajputs for those kinds of tags?

'No, no, no' to quote a great woman, country ideas fill the gap perfectly. Banners are required by the jurchens because they don't have the manpower to fight China, whilst player ardabil can easily form persia provided they play their cards smartly.
This just gives feature creep, then you have people demand why you don't get special units for other nations first

Akbar had to wear the Qizilbah hat, and as a theoretical safavid vassal would have had some in his employ. A Persianate update would also hopefully add Marthas and Rajput to nations with their capital in the Indian sub continent, and who own Rajput or Maratha land. As a nobility style estate they can get the culture convert mission from the diet, but this would culture convert to Maratha or rajasthan culture instead of the primary culture

But yeh I agree the qizbiliah really don't need to be added, but perhaps the tribe estate could be added to areas which had tribes abundant, like the caucasus, so that generally they can raise large hosts from nowhere, but still use normal manpower to prevent the balance being changed too much. Would help QQ conquer the remnants of Ajam at the least
