Would anyone know why

I can't get any achievements on Steam? I'm absolutely stumped. I bought the game through Steam-and every other game I've bought through them I've always been able to get achievements. But for some reason it's not working with EU4. It's strange. Anyone know why?

To get EU4 achievements, you must play on 'ironman' mode.

Also, make sure you're using the 1444 start date unless it specifically says otherwise (like the USA one).

Iron man mode is best mode, even if i crash to desktop a couple times an hour ;p Iron man mode is still best mode.

It's kind of weird, but I guess Paradox treats achievements as serious business.

I don't play iron man mode for the achievements, i play it because im to week willed not to cheat ;p In eu3 i ruined many a game because i gave in, cheated, then was like i cant play any more because i cheated and its no longer fun.

I rather have the ctd then the temptation to cheat and ruin a game i invested hours into because i got bored and wanted to mess around with some cheats.
