So, you're trying to tell me, lots event chains to right down? :D

Quite possible.

BTW Colwin1, I like your scenario. Consider it part of the mod's canon now.

To explain things up, one of the major nations in the civil war loses when it doesn't control any of the French region key point provinces, which were all mentioned in the previous post, plus the 'capitals': Paris, Orleans, Marseille.

To illustrate this, let's take French Republic. Now, imagine that it's lost all of the key points and Paris. Here we go:

Event: We have lost the civil war (FR)
One unsuccessful assault after another, tiresome nights and litres of blood spilled in the endless fighting. Our forces are no longer present anywhere aside from the little towns and villages, where people mock us as 'the countryside warriors'. Our leaders and fat Republican authorities may claim otherwise, but common men had lost all belief in the principles of democracy or the Republic, they only struggle to survive, like animals that are kept deep inside everyone's mind. We put our guns down, we no longer wish to fight.
Options: A) This is the end
Effects: Both other parties (Or a single one, if there's only one left) receive the event: The end of the Republican army

Event: The end of the Republican army (MF and/or FCU)
The Republican army has capitulated today, leaving their remaining territories for us. Republican generals offered support to our cause and we accepted it in a way that would be most humiliating for them, whilst the politicians packed their belongings and left for Britain or the USA. It is a great sign -- soon we will find peace for our people.
Options: A) Their pathetic regime is over
Effects: Whoever controls Paris, annexes FR, -5 dissent for both MF and FCU

Now continuing for the other two:

Event: We have lost the civil war (MF)
Every day we lose men: in the fields, in the cities, on the very land that belonged in past to our ancestors. How long is it until we are forced to surrender? Soldiers must be asking themselves that question all the time, each time when they think about life before the war, their families, wives, children, but there is never an answer. Only dead silence, that fills their ears, ripping their minds to shreds and leaving them breathless, scared, exhausted. These men are scarred for life, and they are no longer ready to fight for the idea.
Options: A) Our state ceases to exist
Effects: Both other parties (Or a single one, if there's only one left) receive the event: Monarchist capitulation

Event: Monarchist capitulation (FR and/or FCU)
The Monarchists have capitulated today, their 'Chef' Charles Maurras is reported to have shot himself, unable to accept the possibility of spending the rest of his life in a cage. Truth or not, the Monarchist movement is now beheaded, ill and dying.
Options: A) The beast is slain
Effects: Whoever controls Orleans, annexes MF, -5 dissent for both FR and FCU

Event: We have lost the civil war (FCU)
The soldiers, previously the messangers of the proletariat of globe, its vanguard, its shield, the hammer and sickle, the brush and the torch, are at this point useless to the great communist idea. Have our teachers fooled us? Common men did not prove ready to fight for the revolution. They are simply just like the rest: they get tired, hungry, scared, lost. Of course, at this very moment we have to leave philosophy and descend to the ground. Paix, pain, liberte. We might not get the latter, but the first two we surely will. Time to settle down.
Options: A) Let us face the consequences
Effects: Effects: Both other parties (Or a single one, if there's only one left) receive the event: The revolution is over

Event: The revolution is over
The red revolution is choking on the blood of its damned communists, leaving them unprotected, weak, subjugatable. We must act quickly and finish off whatever remains of them before they can regroup. The red flag is down now, the revolution is over.
Options: A) Who's on the scaffold now?
Effects: Whoever controls Marseille, annexes FCU, -5 dissent for both FR and MF

Now, onto the total victory events:

Event: French Republic wins in the civil war
Through dire struggle we marched to the right cause, to the light of the new day, to the promises of the better future for our children, of the clean blue sky, of the end of terror and of the end of war. Freedom, equality, brotherhood -- these are our principles, and we will never stray from the right path again! Glory to the Republic!
Options: A) Alas, let's get to organizing ourselves in the time of peace
Effects: -20 dissent, trigger Event: The Fourth Republic, Event: The Vichy tribunal, Event: French foreign relations (FR), Event: The national question (Marchal is HoG), Event: Paul-Boncour's gamble (P-B is HoG)

Event: Monarchist France wins in the civil war
Chef watches over the heroes of the 'National War' as they parade in the Place de Louis XV, formerly known as the Place de la Concorde. We have won, although the price we had to pay was high. Nevertheless, we have won -- and now our Chef is paving way for the return of our monarch. We anticipate the day he arrives, cleaning the streets and returning to our routine work. Now we are a nation of heroes, ready to face against each and every enemy, for God, King and Patrie!
Options: A) This is only the beginning
Effects: -20 dissent, trigger Event: The Great Purge, Event: Memorial to the National Revolution heroes and Event: The new order, which'll trigger Event: Doctrinization, Event: The end of regency, Event: French foreign relations (MF)

Event: French Communal Union wins in the civil war
The red flag waves on top of the Versailles' towers. People whisper, then shout. They run in the streets with that lightness of a child. "We have won, we have won!" -- they shout. It is true, we have. We didn't hesitate to bring our enemies down when we had to. France stands alone in this world, the true disciple of Marx and Engels, but through the struggle we've survived, we came to understand our own greatness and our own potential. We may be alone, but we will surely find ourselves allies, or even friends. Let us move forward with socialism, to the great red future!
Options: A) Red glory to the red dawn!
Effects: -20 dissent, trigger Event: Ensuring political stability (Yay, purges, also leads to a pretty important chain of events), Event: School system, Event: French foreign relations (FCU), Event: Spreading socialism abroad

It would be interesting the use the title "First Citoyen" Maurras. There was an awesome alternate history in which de Gaulle becomes a leader similar to Hitler. While this is unrealistic, the title is great. First of the people. It could easily work for a monarchist leader too. (Mussolini supported the king too at the early years.)

BTW, Korsteeni, how's it going on writing down the actual code? Do you like how we're getting so far?

Everything's fine so far. I'm using VIC as the tag for Monarchist France, U66 as the tag for Brittany and U11 for the reds ("French People's Union" is what I call 'em). Right now I'm trying to trim the 1914 scenario into a form that suits our purposes.

As for events, I'll resume that tomorrow - shouldn't be too hard, but I'm kinda been lacking sleep for the past few days.

U.S. sounds good, do that if you will.

Maybe you could write scenario descriptions for the two states...?

I can certainly do that for you guys. This ought to be fun. I went into the 1914 scenario in order to draw the borders of the MIddle East up as I am imagining them for this scenario. The Ottomans are going to have their work cut out for them if they fight against a united front of the U.K., Egypt, and Hejaz.

Perfect.

I was thinking, would there be any chance of a Jewish state in Palestine coming to existence if the Brits wreck the Ottomans? The British Prime Minister, Herbert Louis Samuel, is a Jew after all.

Perfect.

I was thinking, would there be any chance of a Jewish state in Palestine coming to existence if the Brits wreck the Ottomans? The British Prime Minister, Herbert Louis Samuel, is a Jew after all.

The possibility exists, but I am not certain how to justify it in the context of this history. But we will find a way.
Think we've already discussed that: Britain intervines in a war started by the Greeks, justified by Arab and Jewish revolts. Then -- boom: Turkey, Judea, Kurdistan, stuff like that.

Yep. Just couldn't recall the exact countries. Well, it seems to feasible - although I doubt many European or American Jews would move there, at least initially.

Well, dunno. I really don't see a reason why they wouldn't rush there. Just like in OTL, Judea would be a dangerous place, you know, all the palestineans and stuff, but I still suppose that Jews all over the world would be happy to move there.
