I know that im going to get rather biased replies on this forum, but is this game worth buying?

Also which is more enjoyable for a first time buyer MBW or MBFS?

I kind of get the gist that this is a first person RPG, were you can control your kingdom, how detailed is the system?

I like both games, but Warband is so much more playable. The ability to customise your merceneries and the ability to hire caravans in FS are definate improvements. But.. it was still quite buggy last time I played. You cannot create your own kingdom. I also find seiges in FS amazingly difficult unless you want to be a long range musketeer. For me FS was one step forward two steps back.

I still play both games, but prefer MBW. (Not tried FS in multiplayer).

Holy Jesus, i dont even know what too say... I tried the demo, did the starting missions raised an army of Peasants, fought of the raiders and deserters! Then i got cocky and ended up having my entire army destroyed by the Nordic Sea Raiders. D: But i was captured and somehow managed to escape. XD I love how it punishes you for that one moment that you get cocky! How hard is it to climb the social ladder and become a Lord?

Im addicted already ;D

Not too hard to become a lord, you need positive relations with a king and about 150 renown. Renown is your key to higher status and the rewards of good fiefs that come with it.

Oh dear, this game is addictive, and I who had so many social plans planned for the coming week. I guess thats out of the question. :(
Read this thread, bought it of STEAM, and I'm done for. I now level 4 (I think) and got a 18 man gang. The only downside, well its not really a downside
because I have always wanted an open game world, but the only almost downside is I have no idea about the plot. I'm just riding around the place
beating up looters.

Yeah this game is worth it, but not if you have ambitions of a social life :)
edit : STEAM CD key issue with this game as well

Warband has no plot, no storyline except the one you create. Talk to villagers, city dwellers, guild masters, lords, etc.

Oh I see, alright then. Thats good enough for me.
I must admit I was searching for key characters, the ones who in normal games will give you
story-line quests and so on. No wonder I was confused.

D: i swore my allegiance to my king, then when i got to my village i got attacked by a horde of enemys to retreated until i was right outside of the castle walls.

Im like "Oh my allies will help me win this epic battle!"

They didn't, and my force of 40 militia was slaughtered by 90 horsemen. D:

I'm still a complete noob, but I have started to grief the nordic sea raiders with cavalry charge. Then again, my largest battle shave only been 20(me) vs 24 (sea raiders)
But, Charging the enemy with your mount, and crashing into them with a lance over and over again until your footmen arrives works wonders for me.
