While you should consider idea groups as a whole and bad ideas might be offset by good set in general I always feel kinda bored when getting the absolutely worst ideas. Even if they happen to be in the Ottoman idea set.
(I realize there have probably been a lot of threads like this but) What do you think are the absolutely worst ideas in the game, those that could be replace with blank and you wouldn't care. Can you fill a whole set perhaps?

My try: (not using generic ideas)
Traditions:
Burgundy: 5% Cavalry combat ability. Cavalry is not really the main part of my army, and then I get only 5%? (also one that have the record for largest ratio with the best idea, 33/5=6.6)
Tuscany: +5% tax income. Meeh. Just meeeeh.

Aztec 1 : -10% cost of reducing war exhaustion. Should count how many times I do this a game and multiply by 7.5. Probably won't be enough for this to feel worthwhile.
Oman 2: -10% Shipbuilding time. Building navy might be slightly irritating sometimes. But the navy is not so important that 10% is anywhere near interesting.
Andean 3: -10% Reduce inflation cost. Again something I don' do often and a small change.
Tarascan 4: -10% recruitment time. Never felt "if I could get my army done a little faster. Never will feel "If I could get my army done 10% faster".
Circassia: -1% Prestige decay. When I'm at 100 the this equals the not so good +1 yearly prestige. When I'm at hundred prestige usually not that important and when I'm not this will be even worse.
Omani 6: Skilled Captains. Will give me +5% trade power for each fleet I waste a leader slot on. Maybe I will acquire one. Late game.
Cyprus 7: 15% privateer efficiency. Not a big user of privateer and this won't really change that.

Ambition:
Bavaria: 5% Imperial Influence. So if I decide to become emperor. If I still need imperial authority by the middle of 15 hundreds then this might yield my a few points. Hurray.

Poor Oman got two, really like those though. So your turn, what is the worst ideas?

Well, I was always thought that manouver is the most important skill for admirals. I mean combat skill.

But sure, there are a lot of bad ideas. Look on Denmark, everything apart from naval forcelimits (which is awesome) is mediocre at best. It seems that it was a design choice. Say, the firs Tuscan idea is way too op, so next two are bad. In this case different nations peek at different points in game.

I don't think you can look at the individual ideas and point them to be terrible. Everyone has a flub idea that doesn't do much. Look at countries that have overall terrible ideas and I'd be more interested.

I think that Serbia "home of the hussars" was put in just to annoy Serbian nationalists.

Also, the expansion -10% recruitment time duo is pretty bad. That said, the finisher is worth two completely useless ideas.

The west African nations with +trade steering on land when they start in a trade node that can't be fed. Even if you do steer trade it's going right to serville node so that is pointless.

Orissa traditions, +5% production efficiency.

I like most of the Orissa ideas. The production bonus and goods produced can add up nicely. I could do without there fort bonus and prestige bonus.

-10% core creation cost and +25% chance of new heir are both pretty much completely useless.
someone obviously hasn't played Ethiopia

-10% core creation cost matters because you'll be coring things yourself probably and will yield a nice MP savings after a while and eitho[ia doesn't get much RM's after it eats its coptic neighbors and hence suffers from the chance of no heir often

Georgia. Circassia. Caucasian. Ethiopia. Theodoro.
Circassia and Georgia both have some pretty unique, while not the most useful, ideas. Few others get extra diplomats or lower build cost. I'd rate the extra diplomats the higher, and the extra missionaries that Circassia will help in a strongly Islamic corner of the world. Missionary strength would have been nice, though. The hostile core creation means that you are pretty free to pick an opportunity to jump on the hordes, and aren't going to be pressured to defend. Infantry cost down will save a fair amount of money in the long run. Combined with the lowered build cost, it will mean that Georgia can make do with less. BROT and manpower recover is great.

The Caucasians might only have one or two ringers (yearly army tradition and hostile coring cost are both good situationally) but they also have a fair spread of "okay" ones. I'd rather have a lot of those over -10% stab, or war exhaustion reducing cost.

Hostile core creation cost is probably the worst for players. AI doesn't even care about coring cost.
Have they changed something from before? I distinctly remember perma-stable Hungary in earlier patches, as even AI countries didn't want to deal with the coring cost.

Here's my try:

Vijayanagar Traditions: +1 Possible Advisors
Chachapoyan Traditions: +1 Possible Advisors
Pskovian Ideas 1: +1 Possible Advisors
Palatinate Ideas 2: +1 Possible Advisors
Chachapoya Ideas 3: +10% Fort defense (sorry I am looking for +1 possible advisors but it's not available for the 3rd slot)
Ajuuraan Ideas 4: +1 Possible Advisors
Shawnee Ideas 5: +1 Possible Advisors
Cherokee Ideas 6: Fort defense +10%
Ryazan Ideas 7: Advisor cost -10%
Ambition:
Tibetan Ambition: Advisor cost -10%

Surely being able to choose among 9 possible advisors per category makes your country ultra flexible. Add some fort defense (the two ideas sum up to almost as good as one French idea!) and reduced advisor cost in your country will become rock solid.

the +1 advisors is actually useful you want to hire a specific MP adviser to do things its sort of like picking your own Idea of +2% missionary strength or if you need dip reputation for dip annexing or the army morale one
