worst idea mmmm, still using the unique provinces victory points like hoi3, where you only paradrop in the vps and end of the game, i would like in hoi4 all provinces will modified the NU and surrender progress, so it can depend on how many territories the enemy control so that will reduce more and more the NU and increase the surrender progress, obviously if they control the capital it had to be a higher NU and SP modifier, and all of this will make to try to control as many provinces as we can until the enemy surrender.

make the posibility to send a peace treaty.

Worst idea for hoi4? Not having a OOB which made the game unique! Or using a kinda OOB where 1 general has 100 division under his command u can scroll through a nice long list. Or remove micro options for airplanes?

So it's pretty self-explanatory. What is the worst idea you can come up with for HOI 4? Always-on internet connection required? Anything EA does in general to their games?

Here's a few really dumb ones:

- DLC that allows you to instantly win the game on 1-1-1936 if you pay $20.
- Social media connectivity that shows a popup every time you fight a battle or execute a decision or event that asks you if you want to share your accomplishment on Facebook, Twitter, and any number of other social media sites.
- Putting ads in that pop up during gameplay or take up tons of space on screen. "When you're fighting battles to decide the fate of the world, don't forget to drink Mountain Dew to keep yourself hydrated!"
- DLC to unlock buildable UFOs and allow you to call in your alien allies to send fleets from their planets for an insta-win.
- Create national modifiers that can't be modded based off dumb national stereotypes. Russians drink too much vodka and get a permanent org penalty, British bad teeth causes healthcare costs to rise and money reserves suffer, Americans can't figure out what country they're in and have a higher attack delay, etc.
- Putting a trojan into the Steam download... just to make sure your antivirus is working.
- Encourage young kids to buy the game by turning all sprites into teddy bears.
- Switch HOI 4 from grand strategy into a 2D sidescrolling fight game where national leaders throw down for world supremacy in order to get mainstream appeal and media buzz.

That's all I've got. Have fun coming up with your own bad ideas, or just make fun of mine.

I just found OOB cumbersome and something I'd rather have abstracted out. I did not appreciate having to spend ages setting up the entire OOB for the Soviet Union, or micro-managing various HQs in addition to my troop movements. I find that HOI3 moves slowly enough without hamstringing the pace further with management busy work. It would be one thing if setting up an OOB was engaging. I can imagine a war game where managing your army could be just as engaging as marching it around. As OOB was in HOI 3 however to me it's a chore.

Integrate the whole game with Wargaming.

Every time a battle takes place it loads Warplanes, Warships or Tanks and you have to fight the battle manually.

Darn, I gave up looking for my post on the old forums on how this could work perfectly fine without all of the micro but basically take out the bonuses and let those who like to use an OOB for organizational purposes use them and those who don't well they get no penalty and neither does the AI. But I'm sure it will be modded in at some point and I agree with your point to a degree as I hated organizing the SU, other then the SU if you do things right you have a very simply way to shift forces from one front to another, it's just an easy organization tool that was implemented to be more complex then it needed to be in HOI3.

Honestly does that division list shown in several screenshots in HOI4 look more organized than say having Corps with specific purposes? Assualt Landing Corps...hmm...No what to do with those....Armored Corp....hmm...know where to send those......I haven't had hands on in this new game yet but I just cannot believe the Eastern Front will not be a mess after a few months without some way to organize the divisions and when lets say an Historical D-day happens how long is it going to take me to find all of the divisions I want to send back to the west in a jumble of 100's of divisions under one commander?.

Thats actually also one of the biggest "ifs" on my list regarding finding units. That list doesnt seem very friendly at all. hopefully we are wrong.

Looks like you can at least search for your divisions by name or type.
Arumba-SearchDivision.JPG

Also can't you creat a Panzer Corp under Rommel with like 7 Divisions. Divisions can be part of mutiple Battle plans. So creating a Plan with Guderian e.g. and than adding the troops from Rommels Corp in there could be posible. So you have Specialised groups you can pick and order around, while your bulk of 'standard' divisions is under a single leader.
Of course I don't know if it is possible this way.

Remove fuel consumption from the game and make the games supply similar to EU4..............Oh wait.
I don't necessarily disagree with you that removing normal fuel consumption is a bad idea, but if you've played EU4 and looked at the recent dev diary, EU4s 'supply system' is nothing like HOI4s. Like, not even remotely similar.

Because of youth protection and stuff a popup is implemented which triggers after one hour of playing: "You're already playing for one hour. You should take a short break." With Options: 1. Yes let my Troops take a rest: Game quits and you cant restart it for another hour. 2. No the war has to go on: Every following ingame! day the organization and morale of all troops is lowered by 1% and rebels pop up everywhere.

That is actually a great idea, and it wont just protect youth.. Older people too will benefit from it too, since a short 5 minute break for every hour played will help against eye strain, RSI, lower back pain etc.

Actually i have played games which have implemented this kind of "warning" feature (Anno series for example) and i found it quite a good idea, too. However, connecting it with with the actual game and its mechanics how i mentioned it could be quite annoying ;)
