Hello,
I am not sure this was mentioned or discussed here or not, but it does bear mentioning it for discussion. So, i decided to watch some of the "Let's Play" of the game. The Person is playing Hungary and they have decided to "annexed" Austria. War is declared and Hungary "Blitzkrieg" through Austria. Hitler offers to send troops to help.
The commentators theorized that this is because they both share the same ideology. This is odd. Germany (and Hitler) were not pleased with Versailles treaty which forced the "German people" to accept subjugation by other nationalities. It is not at all (NOT AT ALL) acceptable to any German much less to Hitler to accept the subjugation Germans (Austrians) to the Hungarians. But do not take my word for it, lets see what Hitler has to say about it;
I am asking neither that Germany be allowed to oppress three and a half million Frenchmen, nor am I asking that three and a half million Englishmen be placed at our mercy. Rather I am simply demanding that the oppression of three and a half million Germans in Czechoslovakia cease and that the inalienable right to self-determination take its place.
— Adolf Hitler's speech at the NSDAP Congress 1938 (Justification for the Annexation of Sudetenland).
This was also pointed out in the comments as well. I would also argue that ideology would only be of importance to communist states since Mussolini was, at best, pragmatic in his diplomacy.

Sorry If I am a "johnny come lately" on this!
