World War 2 Scenario - Beta Commentary Thread

Okay folks, here it is, the beta of the World War 2 Scenario for Europa Universalis. Not anywere close to perfection (so far only the nations are ready, diplomacy, AI, alliances, armies, flags and such things are still missing). I know that, but at least you can play it. Comment the mod in this thread, as well as report bugs/balancing issues and suggestions.

Oh, Knas, I am working on a WWI scenario for EU, I am wondering, when I am finished with my beta, can I send it to you so that you can host it?(I am very poor at internet thingies.)

I just played through a few years. No crashes yet, which I'm guessing is a good sign

Here are some of my first impressions:

-Leaders/armies should probably be tweaked, same with navies. Something tells me that the Soviet Union did not employ Danilo Kholmski.
-The date.... well, the date probably can't be helped.
-CBs need to be fixed. I did a little looking, and found that some countries have CBs scattered erratically around the globe (e.g. Rep. Spain having a CB on Iraq).
-Might want to look at province populations and consider changing. E.g. Russia still having colony status on Kola/Far Karelia.
-Luxembourg is still named Kleves

I don't particularly know much about alliances during this period (it theoretically starts in 1920, right?), but those might need tinkering. I know that this is still really early beta-ish. It's really great otherwise.

By the way, I had a thought for this. To make it more like HoI, couldn't you delete all the fortresses for each province, to make them immediately captured? (unless you fortified them yourself... can you say Maginot line construction? )

P.S. About the flags/shields. It'd be good to make EU shields for each country, right (I bet we could use the same flags from HoI)? I can help with that, well if I ever get around to getting Photoshop (might be soon *crosses fingers*)

I also think Mexico should have a capitol. Genoa's capitol should be in Rome, it should control Savoy. Eithiopia should be a nation. If your out of tags use Pirates and Rebels. Religions should be changed. Use the 1773 religions. Germany should have a cb on Danzing.

Why should Italy control savoy?

That are was annexed by france in th 19-th century

Maybe a territorial claim, (sheild) but giving the land is unhistorical.

Well I've to say an interesting idea, but as I tried to download the files, I got an error-message that the file is no longer hosted, so did this project died? It would be a shame because as I said, it looks very promising.

I'm looking forward to any progress.
