So it is 1595 in my Burgundy->Netherlands game and I joined the protestant league to try out the new mechanic. For some reason GB got leader over me and decided he'd like to be emperor and declared war.
All good so far, however for some reason, the Ottomans joined the Catholic League, I am not sure why this would happen as the Ottomans aren't even Christian. This caused a giant alliance web to kick in since everyone is able to call in allies whenever they want now that called in the Timurids and a bunch of indian states on the side of Catholic Austria. It even broke the alliance between Lithuania and Poland as Poland joined in on our side and Lithuania on the other. Even Muscovy joined in on this war.
Now it's not that I mind much, I mean, ever since the latest patch, lucky nations cannot roll any general under 2 stars with regular 3 stars which makes em trash anything my allies throw at them but makes them utterly stupid whilst fighting me but it's a bit much when at the start of the war over 1.3 million units have been involved over a Christian fight within the HRE.
Not sure if this is intended by paradox to make it a lot harder to become emperor for nations other than the Netherlands but I'd quite like to know so I can prepare myself next time accordingly(aka, not joing a league and vassalize everyone who lost afterwards)
(Edit: Sorry about dem images. Finally got them to upload properly)
