Hi guys,

Because I haven't played the game myself I can't be sure if this was a bug or if it was supposed to happen but the way the world tension changed when the war against the Republic of China ended seemed weird to me.
I have rewatched that part of the stream on twitch and I took some screenshots. Maybe you guys can weigh in on this?

So, this was the situation just before China capitulated:

WWWbefore_endwar.jpg
As you can see, the world tension is at 28%. Based on what happened previously, this seems ok.
However, a split-second before the peace conference started, I saw this:
WWWjustbeforepeacedeal.jpg
Suddenly, the world tension has risen to 51% and I don't understand why. Is this a bug?
When the process continues, we see this:
WWWpeaceconference.jpg

In the upper centre of the screen we see '48.90% (-2.30%)'. If the World Tension is 51%, this is ok. But since the value suddenly changed earlier, this may be a problem.
Just before the Peace Conference is over, we see this result:
endpeaceconference.jpg
Once again, if you start with a 51% world tension, this is about right. Because 51 + 42.20 is about 93.40%
This is the result after the peace deal:
WWWresultpeace.jpg

World Tension is 93%...

So my final question is: Why does the World tension change from 28% in screenshot 1 to 51% in screenshot 2?

Sorry for all the screenshots but I think it is clearer what I try to say :p World Tension is an important value given that it influences what national focuses democratic countries can pick and overall, it has an impact on the decision by a country to join or not join a faction.
Let me know what you guys think!

EDIT: This is not a bug. See comments #2 and #4

Because China capitulating is already an event that causes world tension to go up. I'm not sure if this is exactly a good thing or not but that's how it works. So Japan winning the war already makes other countries more anxious about it: Japan is actually a threat capable of attacking AND winning!

you are right. I checked the video again and I found that the capitulation of China itself is also an event that gives extra world tension:

China is a big country so I think I understand why the capitulation has so much effect.
Also note that the capitulation of Communist China only gave about 2% so I guess size is the important factor here.
