Recently started playing with the new update on a fresh save and found that I cannot return my specialists to home! My base seems to have spawned wedged between a Point of interest (museum) and the mountain side making it impossible for anyone to return home.
I was able to move specialist to world map without issue but cannot return them.
Hopefully the.picture will show the issue.

Doesn't explain how the Specialist got out in the first place.

Either way, bad RNG, you may need to reroll (read: start a new game).

Image looks like you took a picture of a screen. I THINK xbox has a feature for capturing screenshots, and another for moving images elsewhere. Like your email. idk.

Heya! Unfortunately this can sometimes happen - as the World Map is randomly generated, the colony can sometimes spawn into a location that the specialist can walk away from but not back. In this case, it is best for you to start a new game - we are working on implementing safety measures to ensure this does not happen in the future however we have not yet had the chance to do so. In any case, you can of course also try and build an outpost and bring the stuff collected by your specialist there however there is no way to heal them on the World Map, so eventually your Specialist will either die during combat or scavenging or you will simply have to leave them there.

Thanks for the report though and of course, thanks for playing!

Hey Joanna thank for replying :)

I did suspect it would have to be a fresh start which is a pain as my starting map was great with plenty of resources and water close by!
Really enjoying the enhancement patch so far, loving the building upgrades so far

Ah no problem at all, really sorry to hear this, of course it had to happen when you finally get a really good starting spot in the colony view itself!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the new patch - I personally think the building upgrades were definitely long overdue, so glad we were finally able to get them into the game and out for you guys to enjoy too!

It took many restarts but finally got to starting area I wanted. You guys really should offer a map preview in the start up menus ;-)

Wouldnt recommend that, buildings to loot are random anyway. It's just the RNG needs fixing. Awhile back, someone had a car in a similar position. Somehow. I suggested the same thing: if the RNG turns up REALLY bad, just have the game reroll. Shouldnt be too hard to have an RNG result check coded in.

And no, I can't code to save my life, but I do have minimal understanding of the concept. And a few shop terms.

We are hoping to include more checks and safeguards to the map generation eventually, unfortunately just have not had the chance to do so yet! But definitely something that needs to be improved and we are very much aware of it :)
