Hi, I have the same problem as kekkila - I can run DH 1.05.1 and TRP just fine but World in Flames just refuses to start. Can you guys run it fine?
Follow these instructions and you should be fine.
Installation instructions

- Prepare working DH 1.05 version and apply 1.05.1 patch
- Copy your Mods/Darkest Hour Full folder and rename this copy to 'World in Flames 2'
- Download and apply the Official Graphic Pack and the WIF2 Music Pack
- Download and apply World in Flames II (Sept 2018)
- Enjoy

So, the graphics pack has files that go into the main directory and the Mod folders. Won't that mess with the base game or other mods?

Plus, the mod in Mod, is actually named Darkest Hour Full, even though I copied Full and renamed it World in Flames 2 and then put that back into the Mod folder.

It should be named by what ever name you gave to the folder. Because I once made backup save files in the mods folder and it was poping out as a separete mod. And you should paste it to the WiF folder.

When I get back from vacation I will do few more reinstals and see if there are no conflicting folders.
The User needs to choose between colorscales.csv by TremblingBlue or colorscalesNEAT.csv(renamed to drop NEAT) by Omega, so the grafix isn't a simple drop into DH. I'll forego the musix and grafix for now.

I copied Darkest Hour Full to my desktop, renamed it World in Flames 2, and put that back, and now I'll just add the WiF2 zip to that folder.

I had a conflict with scenarios/save games as I forgot to delete those from DH, but that shouldn't be a problem as the folder from WiF2 is empty. Also, I suppose the extra scenarios can be deleted to save space. I got the checksum JAEN, which seems to be a good sign. Thanks Fernando!

Hello everyone, any particular feedback on this update, everything going smooth?
For the record, I am slowly but surely working on a new version which will fix some small glitches and include a few improvements as well as new events chains.
See you soon! ;)
I haven't given the mod too many plays, but I just have to question the victory value of Rome. It's a mere 2 points thiugh it houses the center of Catholicism. Surely it could be a fiver or an eighter.

Italy is super cool, but its events are kinda lame, at least in the '34 soviet nap which is totally unnecessary as Italy only needs to deny the pact with Germany and then Germany is like straight cucked for the rest of the game and just sits there. That is totally no issue, but it is unreasonable to consider the '34 soviet event as necessary, and it I went with the deny option so who and where and they said, just never happens. Having thus denied the pact with Germany, there can be a lot more going on in Eastern Europe and Central, pact of Rome for instance, Catholic Monarch uprising against those stubborn Horthys and Inquarts. Edmund Glaise-Horstenau and Mihai I of Romania are a few of the options to bind an alliance.

Ethiopia offered zero conflict, though there were clashes in Eritrea like irl, but after seeing that the event is just a declaration of war, I moved everyone out of there and Somalia. It basically boils down to some groups of Eritreans on the Ethiopean side get assaulted and the Italians soon get involved and several people are left with bloody noses. If Italy humiliates itself, then it is all the better to strengthen relations with Allies instead of the reversal that quickly came about with sanctions against Italy, plus it strengthens the Catholic-Monarchist pact when Italy is humbled and not feeling threatened, and Italy can flex on some of the other strongmen 'wink' 'wink,' plus claim all its cores and gaurentee its allies cores. This has nothing to do with the HRE, mind that, it's the coronation of original tradition and obvious legitimacy for the Italians in striking out.

I don't mean to be so revisionist as this mod is probably sticking to historicity to run WWII as best it can, but I always play the late game. Thanks Fernando Torres! :)

So Germany got Austria into the Axis and everythibg in Europe is just dandy, but lots of events fire that should require stronger triggers. Romania gives up land to Hungary, and Germany declares war on the USA right after Japan. So, I'd say things like -France exists and -Chechoslavkia exists or it still controls the Sudetenland, should be in those events.

In May of 1944. The USA annexed Germany. The SU only made it as far as Warsaw and unfortunately Königsberg. The Americans began their invasion through Rotterdam or Amsterdam. Strangely, Romania and Greece allied Germany perhaps before they declared war in the USA and Mihai I was rushed out of Romania by the SU and Greece is now covered in napalm. Not sure if they'll invade soon.

The most important thing I think, is that Hungary was neutral the whole time, but after the US annexed all of Germany to outside Warsaw and Königsberg, it released Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium all as puppets and liberals, and the SU, very important here, released Poland and Romania as puppets, and somehow Hungary was made Communist. Perhaps it was forced by event. Czechoslovakia is OK though, and Greece eventually was annexed by the US. The US kicked a lot of ass in this game.

I'd also like to see some mercy for Japan. They conquered China early, the whole of the Nationalits, and had constant skirmishes with Commies, Yunnan, and Sibei ever afterward. Indochina was puppeted through some event and Japan really sucked in the Pacific, though they did conquer the Phillipines. On September 7, 1944, the USA nuked Hanoi and that crippled the resistance in Indochina, eventually being annexed by Yunnan and British forces. It's about a stalemate for sure unless the SU gets involved. I'm hoping an event can be made to create the Qing empire or whatever affiliate it may be known in the Pan-Asian Prosperity Sphere, with Pu-Yi keeping radicals in China at bay and Japan can lose its Pacific gains and a little more for those beleaguered Americans to get their military bases.

Hey thanks a lot for the new patch. Was wondering though, I read about DrBob's AI patch which was designed for DH 1.04 WIF Apocalypse version. I tried to install that same AI patch on this new 1.05.1 (checksum goes from JAEN to LDII) version as well but get some errors from "scenario" and "ai" folders upon loading any scenario. Can start the scenarios but when unpause the game it immediately crashes. Normal WIF2 with 1.05.1 works fine. Any idea if the AI patch can be made to work and how?

(ok just installed the AI folder from the patch, not scen or database folders and no errors)

Please see instructions in first post.

Welcome back! But this new version, that’s pure evil and torture :D Before testing it, I still have to complete the AAR started in 2013.

First of all sorry for my bad english, isnt my native language.

Well, the thing is, I installed the mod, I press play and the launcher opent, all good here, but I press start and nothing happens.

I check and the process is runing, but not the game, and dont show me some error so I dont have any clues of what the problem is, the base game works fine.

I installed something wrong?

Yep, absolutely same thing happened to me.

First try deleting 'save games' folder in World in Flames 2\scenarios
if game still not launching, delete the mod folder completely and try installing it again, but without the graphic pack. I just don't know which of these two solutions actually helped, but it worked for me.
