Trickmov - my current AAR as England in 5.1 is getting close to a WC without gamey tactics - no vassal release, PU exploits, HRE trickery or taghopping etc.

The colonisers should be finished off by 1475 (try and stop exploration), then Holy War like crazy until 1650 (try and get as far as Japan) then Imperialism until you get R/CR. Tech progress can be achieved through Trade Level 6 building spam :)

There are a few good ideas in AARs ;)

Start as Bohemia. Convert yourself to Orthodox by declaring war on, and surrendering to, a small Orthodox country. Then convert the empire to Orthodoxy.

And of course, you should use every other way you can. Anyway, at some point you need to do reverse(unless you would like to stay orthodox). It help to have big amount of small allies, which you vassalize - vassals are more likely to accept conversion. Ofc. Protecting minor nations in HRE, demanding other nations to release HRE minors ETC is very important here. Plus allways keep good relations with electors and whole HRE. Good thing to do - before you change religion to orthodox, ally/vassalize few electors(may be diplomaticaly), so you don't lose imperial title.

101 provinces, and you have 70 years, well counting that each will cost ~ 2 infamy you can easily make it, as long as you can burn 202 infamy. Counting embassy and cabinet, you can burn from 1,7 to 2.3 infamy per year depending on your ruler skill(unless i miss something...). Will you do it?

He's at -3.7 infamy / year, considering he owns nearly all cardinals ;)
Not to mention most provinces will only cost 1 if he uses Revolution CB.

With a diplo 8 ruler I have screenshotted BB burn of 4.02 a year in the late game. 101 provinces as of 1750 but I doubt I'll pay more than 160BB for them.

There are lots of ways of reducing the BB cost of a WC. Destroying the armies of a Horde's neighbours for example or guaranteeing Granada and destroying Castile's army. Picking the right CB is the best way through ;)

For Europeans, just do rebel abuse and then PU.

In my old-cheese-free WC I got Castille for some ridiculous amount of BB (like 5 or so). First I help Granada to beat Castille (in multiple wars), but then all those Christian provinces Granada (and their allies) acquired have revolted and decided to join the nearby Christian nation :) With Hordes it take some effort though. Not only you need to destroy their neighbours armies, but you also need to take care of their TSC :)
