I'm wondering how you guys manage between conquest and your BB points. I'm playing as Great Brtain, got most of western europe (bordering poland in east and Italian factions/austria in south), got most of NA,CA,and SA (america) My BB points are 30.xx now. I used to manage BB points just fine with my previous German game, but now it's getting out of control  Also, since i converted to Protestanism, i don't get any benefit from controlling curia. My next step is to attack India and Japan, ... but with this BB rates, i'm afraid that i have to stop my expasionism.

Most WC's want as much BB as possible. They love it when other countries DOW them, because its a "free" war! IIRC, you don't lose stability when someone DOWS you, but you do when you DOW them.

Keep in mind that every bad boy point increases your stability cost with 1%.
Indeed, and decreases merchant compete chance by 1%.

Does it also increae tech cost like in EU2?

Unfortunately not, the tech cost increase will come only from the number of provinces, but this is really slow almost stagnant after 20-30 provinces. Also there are very few random stability hits (unlike EU2), so you can go throughout the whole game without changing sliders with a perfect stability.

I have found once you're big enough they don't nearly DOW you as much as you'd wish. (Leaving long space between truce and DOW making for drawn out BB rounds.) Maybe it gets better with even higher BB though, I only went to around 200 this far until computer crashed.

Releasing vassals does it.
This might not be what you want though if you want to conquer the world.

Get BB up to about 400 (Liege controlls most parts of Europe + a hug number of colonies) and have everyone but your allies declare war on you :p
What do you mean, everyone but your allies. I've found myself with everyone including my allies declaring war on me.

What do You mean "unfortunately"? Do You have the slightest idea ov the gargantuan ammount ov stab cost a WC wannabe has to encur? :)

Seriously, as a I noted in my Papal States' WC: my stab costs were expressed with the exponential notation: eg. 457e16 ... No kidding.

After a certain point BB do not affect Your trading income much - just annex the trading competitors.

World Conquest shouldn't be slowed by such machinations as BB/stab cost (though the basic idea seems legitimate) ... rather one's military conquests should be slowed down by the AI's tactical prownesses ... which in fact are nowhere to match the human player. It's an old issue ...

Also: Kristof did You manage a full WC yet?

I had issues with mine ... due to a strange bug/crash. I suspect one can't go below 10 nations (including selv) ... Tell me I am wrong.

No, after strategical victory It was too boring for me. So I choosen teoretically one of the the most hard to play nation - american Incan's. I am playing without any modifications, but it's still too easy. Europe is falling too fast under boots of dozens of Incan's cavalry. (I diploannexed vassalized Castille)

I am doing just the same now!

Incans -> Central, North Americans -> Castille (in SA) (after a period ov peace). Though I haven't westernised yet - it's <1500 ...

I think I will put that on hold, it's not so much fun anymore. I also tried the peace thing ... but eventually You start making calculations, and conquest always seems the best investment ...

I look forward to MPing with You ;)

I probably read your post how to play as Incans :). I don't know why but building calvary as them is very cheap - 8,8 ducats only. So playing is even easier then by other nations. There is no standard Westernization for American Native, so I will play without modifications. I will always have the modest cavalry from other nations core provinces. Tech level is no such important for calvary. It only adds more morale, and a few fire later. I understand then you already conquered all Europe :)
