More species portraits in general, honestly. Wolves are definitely on that list. It would be cool if they were somewhere between anthropomorphic and quadruped just to differentiate them from most of the other species.

To be fair, who needs a fungus creature? Or the spider people. The variety is something many people find interesting. Some you will like, others not so much. The more the merrier.

Not sure about wolves, but Stellaris definitely needs some sort of goatlike portraits. I'ts the perfect portrait for race with bonuses to mineral production.

Im not talking about those two goat looking ones or the spiders and mushrooms. Those all look unique enough to be aliens that just have similar properties to those on earth. But you cannot tell me that this is not just some guy in a fursuit.

he is literally just a guy in a boar mask. There is nothing unique other than he walks around with clothes. It isnt anything unique. It doesnt have those weird head tails that the cat portrait has, it doesnt have the multiple eyes and strange head that the dog like portrait has. Its not interpretive, such as the olm/snake thing in the arthopoid section, it isnt particularly cool looking like the giant crab or the plasma colored arthropoid. As far as i can tell, its not a refference to anything(at least nothing i can recognize). Hell, its not even particularly cute looking like the fox and the aardvark/ant eater one. Its a boar in clothes. If you like it, thats cool, more power too you. But personally, i find this just a bit lack luster in terms of portraits, and hope for more truly alien looking portraits. And yes, i wouldnt mind the mol rat or whatever that other thing was being made into aliens if they do it uniquely.

And i will write my though about it. When i understand some people want more animal based mammals coz everyone seems to have a favorite animal here (animals that we are destroying by the way but anyway), don't we have actually more than enough aliens based on earth animal baselife? We already have a whole zoo of mammallian aliens looking as if they came right from earth. In all honesty I would like to see more alien looking aliens and less earth species adaptions. Something less anthropomorph and more creative. I know that more than half guys here are playing humans or earthlike forms but come on alien life is surely more creative than that and every alien don't have to follow the same evolution proces that humanity (bidepal, arms, eyes...)

I just saw the movie "Edge of tomorrow" yesteday and, frankly, i finded the mimics quite creative (here is a picture):

I think we definitly need aliens that looks aliens (so weird) portraits rather than raw copies of earth animals. But notherless i respect your point of view, just writing mine here.

It's recognizable and doesn't look like crap which makes it one of my favorites. I wish they had more recognizable furries over indistinguishable generic ugly aliens. The really weird aliens are good too, but most of the avians and mammals are just hideous and I wish I could filter them out from being used in the game.

Well, it doesn't have to be a humanoid fur-covered alien. It could be like what you see in the anthropoids and fungoids, etc.

Still, I know that someone is thinking of doing a dragon-like alien race mod (you know who that is ).

Also, nothing wrong with adding more races into the game. Makes the game more fun!
