I understand Wiz is trying to be funny but if you say everything in sarcastic tone, then people don't know if you are still joking or not. Will Germany get a new flag? I have no idea, France mil 10 is obviously a "joke" but the others? Don't overdo your puns Wiz or they stop being funny tbh.

A pun is a specific kind of joke, and to my memory I've never seen Wiz make one. Let's use our words precisely, shall we? I wouldn't like to see "pun" go the way of "proverb"/"apophthegm"/"aphorism"/"adage"/"maxim"/"dictum" etc.

Seriously though, for people without a sense of comedic rhythm: Only the France thing is a joke.
Speaking of weird flags in my games has been christian Ottomans, Egypt and Syria... Looks retarded with Moon flags on christian states, same goes for cross flags on Islamic states..
Thankfully modding them doesn't change checksum.
Well, I learned a new word! So this weird joke diversion served a useful purpose.Hmmm... just to be clear, what way, exactly, did "apophthegm" go?

What flag will Germany get ? The one they have now is quite ok, I don`t see the problem with it,
The same way all of them went—the way of not-having-a-clear-distinction-of-meaning-being-drawn-in-common-usage.

The current one has a direct link to the HRE flag, alluding the continuance.Maybe the eagle itself can be more imposing but I don`t see what is the matter with the current one.Probably a more sort of imperial looking and less chickeny.
Ah... I think my argument would be that "apophthegm" is largely excluded from the discussion when dealing with "in common usage."e.g. -->
