The technology came up three times in the latest stream, albeit the last time there was a rare technology. Hopefully on the next stream he might decide to pick it up, transforming the Plutocratic Oligarchy into a Mega Corporation.

Perhaps Wiz might consider renaming the Blorg Commonality to Friendship Inc at that point? An interstellar megacorporation that deals in the business of providing compan- friends.

I can only assume he's quite deliberately holding back on picking certain techs like robots and more advanced government forms so as not to spoil the game too much. By the same token, he's also stopped researching anomalies so certain event chains don't unfold.

From the way he phrased his statement while talking about it, it almost sounded like you'd have some choices of which advanced government type you could promote to, not just a 1-1 correlation. I'm probably completely wrong, but it'd be a nice idea, and I'd love to see some clarification on that.

AFAIK you can switch government even without that tech at a hefty cost in influence. Galactic Administration just gives you more options to choose from.
