Wiz, for the love of all that is good and holy, fix this please

Steps to reproduce :

1. Click the Paris province
2. Look at the culture box
3. Culture is wrong. Cosmopolitaine is not the name of a culture.

Suggested fix :

Replace Cosmopolitaine with a proper culture name like "French", "Middle French" (credits : CanOmer), "Parisian", "Francien", "Francilien".

This issue is so old, and so talked about that when you google the word "Cosmopolitaine" The first results are paradox forums' posts of people confused about the word that have no sense whatsoever in this context, predating any other legitimate use of the word.

Some of the posts are as old as 2008. It's been more than 7 years that people complain about this.

I did a Google, first results are in french, from 'france inter', I guess a publication of some sort, with the word Cosmopolitaine and a woman + mic. 3rd result was steam page for a mod that modded this out. 4th was wiki in french telling me that it was a radio show, followed by the facebook page for it. 8th was a paradox forum link, not the same as yours.

So, yeah, google is just google, doesn't mean anything.

You may like it, but it still doesn't mean anything in this context or relate to anything "french". The word didn't even exist in the EU era.

M&T went with "Francien", looks pretty decent to me. Also, the team is currently overhauling several systems and mechanics of the game, so why not do this little tweak and finally leave behind the "odd era of the paradox's cosmopolitaine people"?

Paradox results shows up in a good position in non-anonymous for some of us because google knows we usually browse paradox forums.

Again that was a tongue in cheek emphasis more than a real point ^_^

What a game breaking bug!

Since nobody as yet has called it either game-breaking or a bug, your argument, to the extent that you've presented one, is invalid.

If a detail is wrong, it's not a bad thing to ask for a fix. It doesn't have to make the game unplayable before it can be deemed worthy of attention. Especially when it's something that wouldn't even use up a significant amount of time or resources to fix. I mean, this would require, what, going into a game file or two and typing in a different word? That doesn't seem worthy of this kind of mock outrage.

EU4 players, me included, actually let little problems get to us. It's funny to me to think about a similar bug in any other game, that game's community probably would not even care...if they even noticed it in the first place. LOL.

I vote No to that idea. Instead, we should vote to elect a committee, which will then vote on whether we should have a vote, as well as decide the voting procedure. Then we need to bring in independent watchdogs to make sure there is no voting fraud.

Thats false. First usage of this term predates back to 1557 from Hieronymus Wolf, and got quite popular in second half of XVII cent.
(note: I'm not arguing that it's a correct name, just pointing out the fact, that this term was in fact used during EU4 timeline).
