I agree, it's really annoying to demand provinces from the AI, especially once you've chosen one province the list starts from the top again.

I don´t know if it was mentioned already before.

If you give another country some expeditionary troops, are the soldier pop losses reduced by 10 for these expeditionary troops.

Example (1.03c):
If you lose 2000 soldiers under your command then 1000 of your soldier pops die.

If you lose 2000 soldiers as expeditionary troops then only 100 of your soldier pops die.


P.S.: I hope the values are right, because I tested this some months ago with 1.03c, but it is 100% true that the soldier pop losses from expeditionary troops losses, are divided by 10 against the usual soldier pop losses.

Would be nice if you could fix this small error in 1.04. Sorry for my bad english.

I think it is a rather good feature. After all, the AI might send those troops into suicide attacks that you would never dream of making.

If you mean as in the experience China had where it remained politically united but different regions became economic "preserves" of Britian, France etc, no that would require a much more radical overhaul of the game engine. An idea for a Victoria 2, not a patch.

Well i cant remember if this has been mentioned or not but im not going threw so many pages to find out.

I hope that Plurality will be able to be lowerd dispite what ever Government type you are even if your Monarchy, currantly imo Plurality isnt done correctly, thiers no reason for Monarchy not to be able to lower Plurality, completly unrealstic not to.

Same for all other Government types.

What about the ability to demand territory for 1.04 like you can in HoI?

A new power, at the moment there is Prestige, Industrial Power, Military Power, but what about World Market Influence? That determines how quick you will get your much needed resources. You could get WMI by exporting your goods, so the countries start to think your a good trading partner.

There are no "trading partners" - the world market is a single whole common pot in Victoria. Perhaps in a Victoria 2 the world market will be reshaped differently, but for now it is the way it is and the kind of dramatic restructurings are not the focus of patches.

On demand territory, not sure how that fits in so much with the time period, and you already have negotiations over land - just don't include a money request. Again it would be a major reworking of the diplo model, so something for Vic 2 should it ever come about.

Complete new categories of diplomacy would be something for a Victoria 2, not a patch. Ideas that involve the introduction of new features are generally beyond the scope of a patch. Patches are more for fixing engine bugs in the features that already exist in the engine of the game, not in general adding completely new features.

OHgamer, another thing is that some provinces have no name in them, im sorry I don't have any pictures, but I think Saxony has Dresden with no name, and Brazil has a handful of provinces like that too, and i'm not ready to be getting photoshop out.

Unlikely to be done as Paradox has considered the map "done" and is very reluctant to open up discussion on maps.

Perhaps if a mod is developed to mod the map the way EU2 does, there will be a chance to "fix" this issue.

Done in the sense that it is not going to be "reopened" for fixes of a graphical nature. Paradox has been pretty consistent on that, graphic elements relating to the game map are not part of patches. That a few provinces out of 2600+ were missed is unfortunate, but unless they say otherwise, I do not expect to see the graphic work on the map at all changed.

It's also not exactly as simple as typing a name in, either. Check out the graphic section of scenarios and modifications in the EU2 forum (where there is a player-made mod to allow graphic editing of the map) to see all that is involved in just making slight changes to the map.
