I'd say it should be rarer than Scandinavia forming, since it doesn't look like it had any support outside of a few intellectuals.
How often does Scandinavia show up though, if done right there should be about the same chance, right?
Indeed. But this is your game and those intellectuals could be popular if you wish so.I'd say it should be rarer than Scandinavia forming, since it doesn't look like it had any support outside of a few intellectuals.
I would like to see mobilized pops turn into irregulars instead of infantry. It doesn't really make much sense to instantly get thousands of trained soldiers from farmers and labourers.
The CSA was more of a revolution then a independence movement. Why? They were fighting for independence from the Federal government so they could hold slaves (states rights, yes the right to have slaves). Why would they annex the USA? That would turn them from the CSA to the USA...
The only other equivalent is anarcho liberals who would remove reforms... Thats what the CSA prob would of done.
I think if there was any Iberian union mechanic in the game, it would end up happening far too often to be a positive features. Also, no pharaohs trading blueprints please!
??There is an Iberian Union mechanic. It's called Spain.
The unification of Portugal and Spain would lead to Spain with nicer borders. And perhaps a change in capital, if Portugal happens to be the leading nation, but even that is doubtful, Madrid being better placed 'n all.Errr... I don´t understand you. They were talking about an unifying event where Spain OR Portugal leads the union of both Spain AND Portugal.

There is no more need for an unification event there than there is for Great Britain to unify with a Scotland revolter.
Because the Brave Resisting Lusitans are still independent. If they part of Spain, the place would be called Spain. Germany would still be Germany if it annexed Austria. While Spain indeed originally used to denote all of the peninsula, I am not sure if that was the case in the 19th century anymore (it certainly isn't in the 20th).
