As to retreating behind you - if you put armies there, they can't retreat that direction. During the period, armies did dance around each other like that, so that's WAD. (WWI Western Front was different, and would be modelled by having reserves in each second line province)

Doubtful in my opinion. Sure, there are historic examples for such behaviour, but most of the time, beaten armies just retreated back the way they came from. The loser of a battle normally does not have the freedom of movement to decide where he wants to go now - instead he is forced to retreat in some direction. But maybe this is a matter of taste...

I tried, for the hell of it, to fight a battle then retreat into enemy territory that had no enemy units on it. I wasn't allowed to do it.

Maybe you tried to retreat there too early, during the first days of the battle?

Different sliders for army supply and navy. Because i often have to keep a big navy, because of the political situation, and during peace time its ok cause i can lower the supply but in war time if i just want my military to be supplied i have to supply the navy as well and that runs into huge amounts

I remember i had a discussion about this very topic not too long ago. The opinion i had formed at the end of it is, that some units should be allowed to retreat to enemy unoccupied provinces while others wouldnt. Tanks and artillery for example shouldnt be allowed to do that, as they depend heavily on an unbroken line of supply. Irregulars dont. For some, like regular inf, a tech that boosts fighting stats (and supply consumption) heavily (say MGs) could take away their ability to retreat into unoccupied enemy lands, so that they´d be allowed to do it in the early game, but not anymore during the times of WWI. This way, you get the rather fluid warfare of the middle of the 19th century AND the trench warfare of the beginning of the 20th.

EDIT: BTW, troops should always be able to retreat to friendly owned, not yet occupied territories, wether or not enemy troops are present.

Change first in prestige, first serve on the WM and remplace this by a safe quantity that can be get :
- Calculate the value "Prestige of the country / sum of all countries prestige" in % (country with 0 prestige get 0.01)
- Each country can get this % of each goods in the WM.
- Repeat until there is no more demand or offer on goods (if a country is out for demand of a good, Prestige % is recalculate)

What will this do ? A top prestige country won't get it all but will get a nice part. A low prestige country will be able to get a small amount thus not leading them to starvation because huge country were there first.

You may have uncovered a bug here -- if you have a save file illustrating what you claim here, you should post it in the bug forum. But you should know that Paradox has always insisted that the a.i. in their games is bound by the same constraints that a human player is bound by. And in my long experience with their games, that has proved to be the case. There have been a few random exceptions here and there, but they always have been the result of bugs in the engine, not design choices.

If u've unified Germany, the next step could be, forming "Greater Germany" (Grossdeutschland). The Prussian/Austrian war 1866 could also ended in the destruction of Habsburg monarchy. Austria/Hungary would be devided in the german part (in Vic2: Tirol, Styria, Austria, Bohemia), which would be annexed to Germany, and new countries like Hungary, Slovakia etc. would be formed.

My wish:

Expand event system to support condition-enabling options, that is, a syntex like
option = {
allow = { conditions }
......
}
the option will be enabled / clickable only when conditions are met. When all options of an event have this "allow" clause and none of their conditions are met, the event won't trigger at all.

Currently we have to make several pretty much "clone" events to emulate this function. This suggestion will tidy them up nicely.

I'd like the ability to give core territory to my allied nations. For instance, I own the western portion of Romania, and they are my ally, but I cannot give them this piece of land that is rightfully theirs. I'd like the ability to be able to do so without having to modify the province portion of the save file.

I would like this very much. Either for a decided cost of selling territory to other nations, or for a prestige boost or infamy reduction could make things very interesting.

I would like this very much. Either for a decided cost of selling territory to other nations, or for a prestige boost or infamy reduction could make things very interesting.

For that matter, it would be even better to just be able to sell/offer to buy any province. If you wanted to simply give a province to someone, you could sell it for 0. But I could also imagine this leading to random nations selling off their own provinces for a quick buck, that would be funny!
