I think it would be nice to have a proper 'Wishes & Suggestions' thread (hopefully a sticky:D ). I'm sure most of us have many of those. I'll try to add them to the first post so that the devs have full clarity. I'll give it a go:

[EDIT: Added suggestions from the posts below]

1.Non-fatal punishments
Many of those existed in the Middle Ages as a way of dealing with various crimes- tearing out the eyes for treason, the tongue for blaspheme or sacrilege, cutting off the arms or legs for theft and so forth- many, many more.
2. Neophytism
I think there should be a possibility of converting to any faith- in the demo you were only able to convert within a religious group. Many cases of folks converting to different religions throughout the years. The -500 piety points is a bit rough (how about -200?).
3. Titular Guardians
Some countries (Frankish Empire, Slavic states) had an appoiunted guardian of the royal or ducal children- maybe there could be such position as grantable title?
4. Cardinals and Conclave!
5. Interacting with the people of my city,
6. More buildings
7. More plots
8. More character portraits
9. Dynamic naming of Holdings/Counties/Duchies/Kingdoms.
10. Naturally a great Pagan DLC.
11. More complicated plots

I'd like to have not just simple "one staged" plots, but chains of them, like events do. For example,I think it would be great to have possibility through theplots to establish your one dynasty in the courts where you do have members of you dynasty married to ruling dynasty. Or establishing one of your sons as a Pope, and many other different complex plots. May be even something like preventing the Pope from divorcing any ruler and you close family member,if those bastard ruler wants a divorce.
12. Influence on cardinals and popes.
13. More laws for kings/ emperors

And may be some more laws for kings and emperors? That would be really great. I wonder if one can mod new laws or they are hardcoded?
14. Unique church laws
I think it would be great let the Pope have unique church laws that influence all the catholic world and the ability to control them through the Pope controlling, threatening and even church councils, even through event chains as in the Magna mundi the mod for EU3.
15. Fully playable muslims and pagans.
I hope they do playable Muslims and Pagans, possibly my favorite game so far was as the Beylerbey of Birjand, plotting to form the Kingdom of Persia and restore the Persian Empire (my heir got converted to Zoroastrian so event better!). The Mongols are sure to be interesting to play, even if just through modding, but if they do a DLC or expansion or whatever, I'm sure it will be freaking amazing!

4. Celibacy
Celibacy wasn't a canonical law of the catholic church until the First Council of Lateran in 1123. I don't know whether that's possible but I'd give it a go.

False

The great Synod has stringently forbidden any bishop, presbyter, deacon, or any one of the clergy whatever, to have a subintroducta dwelling with him, except only a mother, or sister, or aunt, or such persons only as are beyond all suspicion.

This is Canon III of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325). Seems pretty clear to me. However, not everyone always followed this rule, Lateran I merely repeated it. The Greek Church partially abolished celibacy (priests were since then allowed to be married) since the Quintisext Council, or Council of Trullo in 692. The Latin Church never accepted this council.

Suggestions 1 and 2 I do like.

I'd really like to refrain from 'youtube comment' level (re: your 'false' to my whole statement). I'm not aiming to have a religious discussion- catholic church is really messed up when it comes to laws (and most things). When Rome broke with Constantinopole (or the other way round if you please) both chose to ommit some laws- Lateran council forbode priests to have wives to stop them from establishing dynasties.

You said ''celibacy wasn't a canonical law of the catholic church until the First Council of Lateran in 1123'', I showed a canon from 325 which mandated clerical celibacy. Anyway, clerics can have bastards in-game, so what were you suggesting?

Was saying that before the Lateran I catholic priests having legitimate sons were a common thing. No matter- the idea was just a wee, unimportant thingy;)

I would love it if the family tree pop up window was much larger, or possibly covered the whole screen. As it stands now I find it really hard to navigate it when I look at large family trees. I would also like a direct vassal mapmode that shows the ruling families of direct vassals instead of highest independant realms. This would make it easier to see if my own dynasty has grobbled up land somewhere inside other realms.

I would like to see more possible interactions with the different people.

- when i am the king, i want to call every person within my kingdom to my court (if it is a vassal of a dutch or whatever, then i would "ask" him, to send his vassal)
- i want to marry the wife of my brother who is in my prison. So why can´t i ask for a divorce
- its annoying when there is always the same question about getting another person out of prison. Let me point out clearly that i am not willing to set this guy free again, otherwise i will set you in prison too.
- as a leader of a kingdom, i want to put some pressure on my vassals. There is no choice for them to deny anything. If i want their child at my court - i am the king. If i want their wife - i am the king. If i want anything else - i am the king. Of course they will hate me for that but i am the king.

In the overview area about my vassals, my court and my family: Its nice, but why are there no more details in this list. Age, and all the different abilities.

Promises would be a nice feature. I promise a title or whatever to a person when he/she is willing to help me right now.
e.g.: if you give me your land, i will make you to the dutch of xy.
Promises for my kids: I will make you my heir. I will make you my chancellor....
Maybe my liege promise me some specific land for going to war with him?
I want to promise my liege or any other king/dutch some troops to help him with his war. So i can fight for myself or i can add my troops to his troops.

I want to send my kids or vassals to the court of my liege or to any other court. Then i will get some insider informations back in return.

Sorry, english is not my first language, so i hope my wishes are clear to understand.
I just played the demo so far, so maybe some things are still in the game.

I'd like to see more flavor for provinces. I realize the trade resources aren't as important in this era, but each region had a different flavor in EU3 thanks to the resources. France and Greece have wine, Poland has grain, etc. In CK2 all provinces are basically all the same, only distinguished by how many and what type of holdings are built. I was proud of my Byzantine wine industry in EU3, but it's not possible in CK2.

I'd like to see that you could abdicate from your title and leave the crown (or duchy or whatever) to your heir. This should be available if your current ruler is incapable, an imbecile or is hated (opinion of -20/30) by all his vassals. This would be nice because, seriously, if Richard Lionheart would suddenly go insane, would you employ a regent or would he abdicate to his heir? I'm really disappointed about that you can't play as Pagan ntions or characters, because you know who doesn't wan't to conquer Europe as the Kola Samis?:D

I want more realistic wars.

If i conquer the castle where my enemy's family lives i should take his relatives as hostages,so it would be necessary a good strategy to protect your main desmene and not just gather all your armys and send them.

sorry the grammatical errors
