On roads, I would like the ability to make a junction with another road, i.e. I want to be able to connect a regular 2-lane road to only one carriageway of an avenue. This is something that could be done in CiM1 if I recall correctly.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned this yet, but I would like to have the ability to plant individual trees and bushes in-game.

The reasoning is that I, and I am sure others, build a lot of bus docks with bus lanes and this results in pockets of areas too small for buildings to appear. It looks really bad having roads all over the place and no vegetation covering the "bald spots". It is not uncommon to add vegetation to a newly constructed terminus or stops IRL to make the area nicer.

I would be happy to pay in-game money to plant trees and bushes :)

This is one very important factor. People in our forum can't wait to see european style buildings in game. Also airport and train stations were long awaited. But don't forget These nice Details found in the first part: People playing in Stadions or nice decoration objects. Now most cities seams dead. market places or people sitting on a table next to a cafe or on a bench will make the game much more eye candy. What about giving us the possibility to build places and circles?

Please insert the possibility to let Metros turn at stations. This is a very realistic feature also available in the first part.

Btw, you did a very good work the last weeks and you always have an eye on the community. Community likes this

After playing Cities in Motion 2 here is my list to make this game perfect.
1. It would be good if we could have a line open and close time. For example, if a line stops running at 6:00pm (last bus leaves Stop 0 at that time) - then code to close the line (maybe a close line at time in the schedule). Also an "open time" - maybe 30 minutes before the first bus leaves stop 0. To accommodate rush hour, we'd need more than one open and close time per day. If the line is closed, cims ignore it - so it seems an easy fix to simply close the lines at a set time and open them at a set time. This would allow realistic game play, such as running trams in the day, then running buses along the route at night when there is less demand. Currently this cannot be done as CIMS will wait for a night only bus all day and ignore the trams (as an example).

2. A single interface to see all lines together along with the number of passengers carried, cost to run, profit, overcrowding, etc. Sortable so I can work on the least profitable lines, or see at a glance where my lines are over-crowded. It would be good to see capacity verses ridership by hour so we can see where we need to add vehicles or use smaller or cut back.

3. An overlay that shows the lines and how busy they are - using colour - eg red for overcrowded and green for lightly used and white for empty. Be nice to be able to see this by hour, or by period of the day.

4. Ability to see a bus schedule for each stop - for example, click on the stop to get the list of routes, but also a single click to bring up the expected departure times for all the routes using that stop, and ability to adjust or take us to the master schedule to adjust - a side by side list for example. The times are in the system as it is calculated from the master schedule, so I would hope it could be displayed. It would make it much easier to create timed transfer.

5. Assets - if Unity can handle it - please please reversible trams and metros. There must be a way to do this!

6. Bus stations - not really urgent - but would be sooo nice to have them.

Another one - ability to place the metro station entrances. If I place a station in the middle of a freeway, the entrance appears on the freeway, not the adjacent road. Also like to have multiple entrances and ability to combine entrances for two platforms (or more) in the same station.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to construct the connections from road to platforms - using tunnels, walkways, stairways, esculators, ticket halls, entrances, etc. Sounds like a great DLC opportunity.

Well, at first I wish to see In-game ploppable buildings.
I would like to be able to create dynamic central-planned city.
It would be great to create in the direct place good-looking university, build Park and Ride facility near metro station or even locate more benches at terminus station.
Another one - the park and ride system.
At this moment P+R park places are leisure facilities. Cims says "Well. My workday just ended. Finally time for relax. Let's go to the PR parking.
In long run (when the CIMs IQ will be much higher then now) I'd like to allow cims to leave cars in suburbian parkings and continue trip with the public transport.

Ps. sorry for my terrible english :(

I agree with thorstein, the parking facilities should have a practical use as part of the transport system, rather than being a place of leisure. Who hangs out in parking structure anyway? :D

I agree with lightrail. There is no reason why these cannot be created as puzzle pieces that can be added to the platforms. You should be able to plop a mezzanine above (or below) a platform as long as it's a certain height (8 - 10m) over or under and enough space above or below the street as well. Then you should have the ability to put a building, station kiosk, or any type of terminal on that. Then give pedestrians the ability to move through these facilities to transfer, embark or disembark from the metro.

Oh yeah, and what did happen to the parking spaces you could just create in CIM 1? Park & Rides do fit into transportation sims, right?

One small thing, but I stumbled on it quite a few times, lately: I'd like the game to ask me if I really want to close a line. The button is so close to the one used to hide the line on the map (which I use frequently), that I end up mistakenly clicking on close instead of hide a lot of times.
