A way to know ETA daylight time in the pop-up menu (cltr-click) like in HOI1.

Daylight and local time on the mini-map would also be nice.

Fixed AI
Japan isn't doing shit in China. They just lost all of their provinces to COMMUNIST china once the war started. After that nothing has happened. Also, as in the demo, France isn't too great at deciding where to place their infantry, aka the Italian border.
Fixed Theater AI
The theater AI will not create new HQ units and assign infantry to them. Instead it just attaches all of the infantry units to the Theater HQ. Also, if you try and make your own armies/army corps, it sometimes detaches all of the divisions in the unit hierarchy.

Cavalry techs should improve mot and mech, not infantry techs. It even appears that this was the original plan: cav, mot, and mech all utilize and contribute to the "Mobile" practical value. As it is, I think for most nations it is not worth it to go beyond the prerequisite cav components for researching motorised. Flavor names should also reflect the difference in equipment and doctrine: for example, cav small arms should be named after sub-machine guns like the MP40, while infantry small arms should stick to rifles like the Gewehr 43.

I'd like :
- auto sliders
- the possibility to automate trade but not diplomacy
- twiking the game so that Poland don't join the Allies in 1937 and USA in 1938. Happened twice in two games for me in 1936 campaign
- the possibility to drag and drop divisions in the commandement chain
- the possibility to rename HQs directly in the commandement chain
- the possibility to add the location of units in the commandement chain

One thing that should be changed is the tooltip in the corner when you can change laws. It always says "You can now choose more efficient laws at this time.", now "efficiency" is all perspective considering there are pros and cons to every law. I would simply have it as "You can now choose different laws at this time".

The main reason being that going to a war economy for example may provoke other nations via threat, and hence could be a newbie trap because the game said "It's more efficient", and also I think it would be odd as well if the Soviet Union had specialized training for all of its units.

I'm not saying at all that it should aways be as historical as possible, it just should be that the bottom law is "always" the best one.

-speed optimizations (including and especially multi core optimizations. many have 2 cores these days, and 4 cores (some even with hyper-threading) isn't that uncommon anymore) ~ heck just throw the weather to one core ~ ai movement to another ~ and market/trade to the final and everything will be smooth :)
-slightly weaker influence
-multiplayer sync issues (likely related to speed optimizations)
-fix misplaced borders (south america anyone anyone?)
-consumer goods bug fix

Auto trades and convoys

I know you can set AI contol but i dont want the AI building stuff I just want it controlling the sliders and trades

And of course its far too slow

Most of the fixes which have been recommended I agree with, though the wording on this one makes me raise an eyebrow

My wish: Make the political map very clearly defined with bright colours. A useful tool for checking exactly what is going on. Old HOI did this well, and Rome is actually better as well.

Additional long term: add an "iconic terrain map" for easy reference for terrain. With the colours of the terrain and icons being so "watercolour" (for lack of a better word) things are quite confusing as it is now and the terrain you are manouvering in is very difficult to figure out. The addition of an "abstracted" terrain map will be another helpful quick reference tool.

Even better, make it possible to use an "abstracted map set" that can be toggled on or off in options. The player would have an optional set of maps other than the standard terrain map for terrain, region, supply, VP's and intelligence, etc. Somewhere half way between HOI II and HOI III would be sufficient: Brighter; darker; richer colours.

It is particularly difficult on small screens.

Think of it like the difference between counters and sprites, except instead for the maps. One is abstract the other is representational.

Last but not least, and fairly easy to do I imagine, make the highlights for each HQ command group thicker and brighter with colours that stand out more against the map, for ease of play.
