After little discussion the new Head Office or Capital was to be constructed in Guangzhou.

Alexander attendend the official ceremony of Guangzhou becoming the capital. In his speech addressed to Germans and Chinese he said,

"Dies sei der Anfang eines neuen Tages für uns. Gemeinsam können wir große Dinge erreichen. Mit diesem großen Land gibt es viel zu tun, um Ihnen allen sage ich ... Vorrücken Asien!"

With the new office finally finished, Alexander immediatly got back to work.

*May, 1936

It was time for the quaterly meeting the of Board of Directors and many issues needed to be addressed. Alexander slammed his files onto the table which was at least a couple of inches thick.

"First thing first, I have noticed within our entire institution that it is failing. Not due to Nationalists, the Japanese, or the workers. I believe our system is inefficent, we need to make reforms if this company is going to remain here. I have drawn up some options that I believe might be the solution.

The Foreign Ministry think we should close the Qing factories.

BTW, the economic crisis in Germany is making the Germans more open to selling their shares in our company, for a reasonable price.

Personally I believe we must change the Elite structure. Allowing some of the natives to work among us with keep them in line.

How goes your requests to gain our Independence.

I have no intention to give control of this comany to the chinese... but Corporatocracy cannot survive without public support for long. Start small-scale Chinatization, recognize the Native Structure. This is even more important if we indeed choose to pursue a more independent policy from Berlin.

I feel I should clarify I made this decision by looking at the event file and it's causes. I hope it isn't a gamey thing to do?

I Agree with the recognition of the natives.

Although my last report has been very concerning it is steadily improving. I am currently training a group of very gifted young chinese that I believe need some representation in the Airforce branch. Ofcourse not inmediatly but in the existing structure it is inpossible for them to climb up. Control will always be necesary but if you give these men slight offices of meaning and listen to them. You will find yourself having their loyalty.

No contrie survives without adapting and the company is the same.

Army report Nr. 3.
From: General der Infanterie Von Klinkerhoffen
To: The AOG-Council
Re: Our economic policy

Normally my interest in economy is limited in having my soldiers paid and supplied. That being said, a large underfed, unemployed population is a major securityrisk. Although I am quite willing to test some counterinsurgency theories in the field, prevention of such insurgencies is much more efficient.

Scrapping the 'Iron bowl'-policy would mean large scale insurgency, while empowering the local mandarins could lead to banditry and warlordism. Neither of which is in our interest. If we must cut costs, do it by closing Qing-factories. We are only arming a potential enemy by keeping them open.

Foreign Ministry Report;
The financial crisis in Europe has made the incompetent German government bankrupt. Therefor they are ready to sell all their shares in our company for a fair price. In the future they therefor have no influence over company business.

OOC; Since we are a company I imagined the German dominance as the German government owning a share majority. So if we buy them out we should not be a puppet anymore.

*Sorry for the delays, it was my mothers birthday and had to get that organized and such*

Then it is decided. We shall begin to reorganizing the Elites and native structure of this company. I will have to write up estimates of costs and possible outcomes of this reform.

I pose another question to you gentlemen. I ask that you write down 5 areas and/or oppertunities to expand this companies power and why.

*Gameplay will resume shortly*

Yarr. We need ships to steal things...

Also, buy Indochina, so we can expand into Siamese and Burmese markets. Then onto India!

Definitately lots of ships. Numerous Cruisers in immense fleets that blot out the sun!

And prepare for an invasion of Japan at some point. We must have the worlds best marines...

And missiles... let's make them fear our 'fireworks' factories!

YAR!

An interesting thing has occured...

I played ahead to get a leg up of what I could write about. I annexed the Legation Cities and was currently at war with the Yunnan Republic, as soon i was on the edge of victory, the Changsha Revolution occured... resulting of the entire loss of my army being switched to the Republican Chinese. I only had two Infantry divisions I could deploy to fight the Chinese sadly two armed German divisions doesnt seem to stop hundreds of Chinese that used to be the companies best troops.

Im trying figure if this AAR could be salvaged or not. Here are some ideas i have thought of...

1. End the AAR and give another shot at another AAR ideas i had back on the list.

2. Reload the game and try again

3. Play as Germany and invade the Republican Chinese and re-establish the AOG again

Let me here your voices please!

Since AlgOstAsien is autonomous German corporation, it probably won't be a problem to call ''big brother'' to help you... Switch to Germany and save your company.
