And the last feature: custom unions. So far, there may be up to 3 unions in the game. Of course, you may name it as you like: be it the Tauren Confederation or the Empire of Zul. Unlike the Horde and Alliance, the Custom Union welcomes rulers culturally and religiously close to the leader, so the custom union will be more exclusive than the historical unions.

Amazing, I remember we spoke about the possibility of adding this back in CK2. It's gonna open up so much fun RP- possibilities. It's real great as well that you decentralize the unions from how they were in CK2. Loving the direction you guys are taking this project, keep it up!

Here's some thoughts I had on additions you could consider for the unions system:

It would be fun to have way to plot yourself to the leadership of a union (should be hard though).

It would also be fun to have a way to plot in order to get a union member to get kicked from the union (should be hard as well).

It would also be neat if there was a way to change the succession law of a union, for example nation with biggest army inherits, or highest gold income or leader with most prowess.

Thanks again Zumbak and the rest of the team for the amazing work you're doing.

Can you make union of Undead, Demons or Old God believers?
They can't join normal unions.
If we keep the Legion, Scourge and Black Empire (and most likely we will) they will be pretty strong without unions.

Will raiding always be available to certain cultures/religions? It's insanely easy to lose in vanilla.
Will see. I get why it's so in the vanilla since it's a very easy way to get money.

I listed these ideas on our GitHub.

Hello!
At long last, we've finished the final (or maybe not) piece of our province map: Pandaria and the South Seas isles. 331 counties have been placed here, roughly the same number as in CK2. If we continue the tradition of comparing the mod to the vanilla, it's close to the size of four Iberian Peninsulas. Now we will move on to another equally challenging task: writing history for these gigantic continents.

This is just me being curious, not pressuring you guys take your time as you should, but:
Wouldn't it almost be easier to release the mod without some lands? AKA maybe not necessary to have Pandaria straight from the start, same with some islands or archipelago, or "locked parts" like the Warhammer mod did back then for example. Can keep this for later, flesh them out on the side and all while the testing with players starts ?
PS: I don't know nearly enough with the internal development works and how modding works, just curiosity~

Mostly we move provinces, characters, titles from CK2 thus it's easy to add Pandaria and other landmasses we had in CK2.

Will this mod have the Broken Isles?
They're planned. Maybe not in the first release, will see, but planned.

A small teaser of one of the events I'm working on (hopefully, there will be a developer diary with more details later.)
Together with the Dark Portal storyline events, we plan to add random ones. This event, for example, can give you the chance to bring some characters from Draenor to Azeroth like orcs, ogres, draenei and even arakkoa. Who knows, maybe they'll get a title for their good service to the crown or form a band of mercenaries.

Hello! We are eager to release the mod as soon as possible. Thus, to speed up the working process, we need new hands. We have 6 positions available currently. We could really use your help right now:
  • Tester: to test features we're adding.
  • Coder: to add new features and design script events.
  • 3D Artist: to work on costumes for different races.
  • Cartographer: to finalize the look of the locations in the in-game map editor.
  • Character Designer: to recreate the characters and ethnicities of Warcraft in the Ruler Designer.
  • 2D Artist: to make a ton of new Coats of Arms and icons.
If you're interested and active, we have clear guidelines to introduce you to the modding process. So a lack of experience with modding shouldn’t be a problem.
Apply here now!
Thank you for your attention! Work-work!

I'm tempted but I doubt I have the consistent time for it personally, do you guys have a rough timeline for release yet?

What's the intended release method for the long-term? Github like CK2 for constant updates, Steam otherwise?
