The mod has been uploaded!

Please mind that it is a first alpha release, and our first mod. A few of us have prior experience, but nothing quite this extensive - so it will have bugs and other issues.

If you run into any, please report them so we can deal with them! Otherwise, we hope you like what we've done so far.

Once again huge thanks to Vierwood and Tanner, whose efforts have given us extensive history and a huge amount of starting characters and short made the mod playable.

So is anyone starting a multiplayer game for it, since the intent of the mod was for it to be multiplayer?

It's heavily over-subbed. Unless we can work out how to have more than the max of 32 players (or people simply do not turn up), it's going to be a rush of first-come first-served. There is also a game today, hosted by Chief Gironca. Not sure what his Paradox name is though, but I think that started almost as soon as I put the mod up.

ok, so ive gotten my first look into it, and ill give some feedback on bugs and advice for improvements.

firstly, when i try and disband troops in my home counties, it always claims that there is the presence of enemy troops in the county you disband in, so you always lose troops when disbanding. thats a mayor issue.

secondly, i wanted to take a look at the various titles coat of arms, but when i tried to search for titles that starts with W(as in, i tast in W in the search function) the game always crashes. not sure what causes that.

thirdly, some unit sprites have bugs, where they dont look right. the northman sprite in particular, have the shield and weapon being wielded sideways, so it clips into the body.

and thats all for the bugs ive come across on my first playthough. there will probably be many more i'dd vager.


as for areas where i'dd recommend changes, we can start with casus belli.
as it currently is, when faced with neighboors which shares your counties, you dont get any simple county CB like you do when facing enemy religion. this makes playing as those surrounded by fellow religions very boring, and means that for every single war, you need either a marriage CB or you need to manifature a claim. needless to say, this is tedious and makes playing as them way less fun than palying as those surrounded by other religions.

sprites. now im not sure if the cultures that uses baltic portraits are supposed to have baltic sprites, but you really need to change those. playing as the first men back before the andals conquered them, is really ruined when your unit sprites are represented by what is generally considered the absolutelty worst dlc sprites in CK2. not to mention they make no sense to be used by the first men, who really should be represented by celtic unit sprites.

You lose ten percent of your troops if you disband in home territory. This is normal and done for balance reasons. In hostile territory you lose two thirds. If it says you've got hostiles in your territory, it is probably raiders as there are many raiding factions on our map (Skagos, Iron Isles, Sisters, Fair Isle, Pirate Isles).

Title finder causes a crash as all of our provinces have yet to be assigned to regions. It was done before, but due to the changing nature of the early version the crash returned (titles changing names, new titles being added). It will be fixed down the line.

We've not edited any sprites (nor include any character models or related sprites in our download), so not sure what you are talking about.

You can use Duchy subjugation and Kingdom subjugation (King and Emperor respectively) against same religion, however conquest is not usable against same faith. However, we will be adding more CB, mostly in the way of forced conversion and/or supremacy (ie same religion will be able to unite through war so long as they are of the same culture group).

We've not really touched what portraits are in use. They are all basically placeholders, and will likely be changed around with future patches - as I do not even have many of the packs, it's hard for me to know what looks good and what does not, due to them all being the same for me.

I can look at switching the north back to celtic, if they are better than whatever they are now.

Are you the guys that used to host the Nexus PW server for Mount and Blade Warband?

I was sorta involved in it (father ran it and owned it, to be specific), though I did run the RCC server which turned into Nexus. ZeroFighterR on the otherhand was an 'SO' and a terrible one at that.

So yeah, basically. Don't let that scare ye off tho! :p

Would like to point out that when improving a child's fighting skill it'll say something like "You're ward has improved". Typo there.

It also offers me the choice to convert to my spouses religion of the Seven. I am already a devout Seven follower.

Counties will pop up saying that the province has converted and it will say something like "Allah be praised!" and give 15 or so piety even though the province didn't actually change religion aside from the obvious Allah thing.

There are also quite a few Ashkenazi characters that must've slipped through.

Speaking of slipping through, characters have Indian religion traits (the caste traits) but I've only seen this on commanders that are recruited through organizing the army.

I also see a province named "oi" by Wendfrost (below Massey's Hook).

I'll look out for more but that's all I can think of off the top of my head from my current playtime.

I also hope it doesn't sound like I'm complaining! I absolutely love this map and it runs great, I hope to have much more playtime with it!

Changelog is getting pretty extensive already. Should be a meaty patch when we get to it. I've also fixed all of the Jews and Brahmins hopefully.

I also forgot! If you join the Loyalist faction, you get a -10 opinion from your liege for being in a faction. I don't know if that's hardcoded in and can't be changed but I don't think it should work that way! :p

Yeah, way ahead of you there. One of the first things we removed, as it was meant to be removed for the alpha release! :)

Thanks for the report on loyalist faction. The faction was a quick addition to deal with some of the faction spam, so I'll need to ask around about dealing with the liege opinion penalty. The faction doesn't really do anything for players though (other than showing another player you are loyal).

Hallo I have had acces to the mod for a day or two and I have played it with one of my friends just have to say that I love the mod it's so nice to have a game of thrones mod that works in multiplayer. Today I was part of Chief Gironca's multiplayer, and we kept having desync's, I wanted to hear if there was a way to make the mod more "stable" I know that there are limitations to the game and that this is a alpha version. And I would also like to know if you have desync's at your own multiplayer games. thanks for any answers.
