I think Scandinavia and other regions certainly should have more countrys and holdings. I know most people say they werent very populated places in middleages. But but CK is simulation by action game, characters make decisions and by that they change history. To give some so told low population debuff thouse regions they should have like some building penalty like to build a new holding or building in that region you need to pay 50% more or take on some costly decision or decision chain to simulate that but hard work should give some rewards.

I have a schedule in mind that is not open to much change. I've already reworked most of Europe so I don't know what you mean by 'only mod the lands of the HRE'.

I've already added quite a lot of holdings to Scandinavia. It could use some more, but I probably won't make it as dense of most European areas.

i do have two suggestions:
1. Berg and Kleve should dejure be in Lorraine and not in Saxony
2. I dont know if i am missing something, but isnt the name Transcarpathia extremely weird for that time period. I thought that was just the modern Ukrainian name for this region. I am not sure what to name it instead, but maybe just call it Marmaros

While waiting on the important source for the Rus' update, I have been revamping France.
The current kingdom of France has received a much needed big revamp. Almost 300 new holdings have been added to it, along with many new counties.
Also: Aquitaine will no longer be a de jure kingdom in 1066 and later startdates. Instead it will be de jure France, which will make France the largest kingdom in the entire game. Given its historical power and importance, I think this is accurate. This will prevent revolts that establish a kingdom of Aquitaine.
I've also changed the de jure setup for duchies a bit. Touraine has been absorbed by Blois, while Nevers has been separated from Burgundy as it was not part of Burgundy until the end of the Middle Ages.

The following counties in current France have 12 holding slots.
-Paris
-Nantes
-Rennes
-Angers
-Cotentin
-Bayeux
-Rouen
-Angers
-Tours
-Blois
-Orléans
-Gâtinais
-Melun
-Amiens
-Reims
-Champagne
-Provins
-Troyes
-Bourges
-Nevers
-Dijon
-Brugge
-Gent

So lots of choices already if Paris as capital is not to your liking!
Though moving the French capital to the last two in Flanders would not be wise as the local populace will not be very happy.
Some attentive people may also notice that I've added about a dozen new rivers in France so far!

Hey everyone!
I've completed the revamp of Aquitaine! In 1066, Aquitaine will no longer exist as a de jure kingdom. Its duchies have been integrated into de jure France, which makes France by far the largest and most powerful kingdom in the game with 1614 holdings. This should prevent revolts that lead to the independence of Aquitaine, though we still have to do something about dissolution revolts in France.

I've added some new counties and 202 new holdings in the former Aquitaine.
-30 new holdings in Poitou
-30 new holdings in Bourbon
-41 new holdings in Aquitaine
-22 new holdings in Gascony
-57 new holdings in Toulouse (Septimania is no longer a duchy)
-22 new holdings in Auvergne

As people voted overwhelmingly in favor of removing the 12 holdings per county limit, I have also added the first counties to the mod with more than 12 holdings.
In the former Aquitaine, three counties have 14 holding slots.
-Bordeaux
-Saintonge
-Toulouse
Albi and Périgord have 13 holding slots.
Poitiers, Foix, Béarn, Carcassonne, Bourbon, Clermont, Angoulême and Limousin all each have 12 holding slots.

The counties of Rennes, Paris, Rouen and Brugge have also been upgraded to 14 slots. Additionally, I have added some more holdings in Brittany, it now has 104 holdings.
