And why would that be a bad thing? I always found it weird EU and HoI have weather models but Victoria doesn't.

It wouldn't. He didn't mean "adding weather would make V2 like EU3, so we won't do that", he meant "If we add weather to V2 we'll make it like the weather in EUIII (that is, not like weather in HoI3)".

Just add in monsoons (could easily be done in the same way as winter in eu3 even if eu3 doesn't have seasonal weather apart from winters currently) and I'll be happy
