I am not against the threat or defensive pact mechanics at all, but I think the logic that generates threat has a few wonky scenarios. Specifically, why does it make any sense for massive amounts of threat to be generated if a kingdom is taken over from within by one of the dukes? How is that threatening to the other kingdoms surrounding it, it's just as big a kingdom as it was before, it's just that the internal political situation has shifted around.
Is the game logic treating the temporary rebel kingdom as 'expanding' into the territory it won in the revolt? That seems almost like a bug more than something that should be working as designed.
