The following situation occured: I was playing as a Byzantine duke and created a faction to press my claim on the empire. When another faction (to install a different claimant) declared war, I did the same to press my claim against a weakened mperor. Both factions were hostile against each other while fighting the emperor (as it should be).

When I reached 100% war score, I enforced demands and became the new emperor. The other faction was at 74% war score against the emperor before I enforced demands.

Then the following occured: I got a -100% war score in the remaining claim war and immediately got imprisoned and stripped of my new emperor title. The only viable explanation is that I had 0% battle score against the other faction members, while they had more than 100% occupation score against me (by only occupying lands that belonged to the previous emperor). This was the case even though I defeated a number of their armies while fighting the emperor, so that they wouldn't beat me in finishing their war.

To me, it sounds absolutely ridiculous to be imprisoned and stripped of my titles immediately, while continuously defeating BOTH the emperor and the other faction in combat (during my own claim war).
Therefore, I kindly request a fix for this weird interaction when multiple claim wars occur.

Its not really a bug you could have kept the war going and beat the competition down before you enforced your demands. Not to mention that the battle score might not even been enogh to stop the other guy having 100% occupation score on you.
My point is that you should still have a chance to beat the competition after becoming emperor, instead of losing (almost) instantly, if the AI decides so. It's also very time consuming / exhausting to siege every territory that the competition occupied, considering that simply beating his armies gives you no war score against him whatsoever.
Furthermore, it should (logically) be much easier to beat the competition once you've usurped the title of emperor and have access to many more levies and retinues.

It's not only a gameplay issue, but also very counterintuitive (hence immersion-breaking). Just my two cents.

But shouldnt there be a mechanic informing you of this ?
Something like "If you push your claim (or whatever is appropriate wording) now, you will loose against faction x immediately. You need to *do whatever* before safely pushing your claim for..."
That would be great, as of now it sounds/feels like a bug.

At least some information before behaving stupid and doing something terrible wrong, though i confess i didnt experience what the OP mentioned and i'm simply speaking out of mind. :)
