I have checked in Volume Mixer and eu4 never appears there even though everything else does with no issue.

Windows Vista no sound in eu4. Works for everything else.

Your sound driver is ancient, so check with SB for a newer one.
Also I see you have three sound devices; could it be the sound is playing through one of the other ones?

It definitely isn't playing through other devices i checked all of them multiple times. I tried to update the drivers but it is telling me to check that my sound card is installed correctly. Surely it is because all other games and media work flawlessly
Did you check for a newer SB driver (p17.sys) with Creative themselves, or just the in-Windows "check for driver update"? Because that second option is worthless.
