Hello, I've been having problems with getting CK2 to work since I fixed my laptop in regards to the black screen when starting up (and crashes in 2.1.6 for some reason). Is there a way to remedy that?

Please try a full clean re-install:
- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-CK2
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/Paradox/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

Just as I was done installing and downloading mods, the launcher crashes immediately (I've been having some problems ever since the launcher changed (and I've never had any problems with the old launcher)). Just validated the files again and about to try again.
Thanks, its working now (though going back from the custom game to choosing your era and trying to go back one more crashed my game)
