[Windows 10] Game freezes after some time"

So after the 1.29 update my game keeps freezing randomly, i can hear the game music while the screen is frezzed, some times is after 5 minutes other times i can play for a wole hour, i tried reinstaling the game but for no avail.

It is just the game that is hung, is that right? Not the whole computer? So you can kill it in Task Manager then restart it okay?

Is this in a new game started since 1.29 ? Any mods in use?

Yes is just the game, I can easily kill the process in the task manager an restart it but after I reload the game and start playing the again the same problems happens again after some time
I was using the map improvement mod while I was playing, and started another save as Austria without any mods and I get the same problem both in the 1.29 update

It's not game breaking, just really annoying, I don't have the same problem with other paradox games like ck2.

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test with a new campaign - NOT by loading any existing save

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.
