i tried to use the windowed mode for the first time ever, only to find out that the option is reded out. there is nothing that can change it back. not even reinstall. got the latest version too, and still nothing. what the hell is wrong? why cant i start in fkn windowed mode!?

Your Windows colour palette needs to be 16bit in order to run the game in windowed mode.
Move mouse pointer over that option and hover it for a moment. Then read what has been written.
It works fine once you've changed to 16 bit colors, although naturally things look a bit less pretty than with 32 bit colors.

Hmmm, that is unfortunate, I was hoping to play AOD in windows mode, but if its that bad full screen makes for a better experience IMO.
