[win8 x64] EU4 stopped working suddenly [solved]
Good night,
I have been trying to solve this issue during the whole day without any success. Yesterday I had been playing with no problems, but today, suddenly, stopped working.
I have seen in the "known problems" something that fits with my issue, but have been unable to solve it. To be accurate, launcher does not shows DLCs, so I think it may be vsc redistributables or directx. For some reason probably it has something to do with any windows update, that messed up the whole direct X or distributables.
I have reinstalled steam several times, the game from scrath also few times and still with the same issue. I have downloaded, installed and unistalled the VSC redistributables also several times, as long as DirectX, and still blocked.
Any ideas??? I do not know really why it worked for one complete day, and now it refuses to launch!
Suggestions accepted. I have also checked Steam cache, and so on. There is no "My documents" folder since I deleted completelly to see if that could solve the problems.
Also, I noticed that EU4 desktop shortcut became white, and when trying to launch in "disconnected mode" (steam version), then a 0x000007b error appears.
