Seen this 3 times now (all in my last game)... twice happend in Hong Kong, once in "some other chinese province".
Brits defending - japanese attacking.
Defence of province is succesful.
Japs retreat.
Province changes to Jpanese owned - leaving your victorious troops standing there wandering which politician stiffed 'em this time.
(Major pain actually in Hong Kong as the only way to get the province back is to leave it entirely and then retake it yourself... bit awkward when there's 11 division of jap infantry in kowloon though)
