win 8 64 problems

hello ... i installed the windows 8 64 bit and try to launch the game .. it says that the 3.5 .NET framework is required to play the game but when i try to install it it says that a newer version the .NET 4.5 is installed ... so .. no game for me ... any ideas guys ?

The .NET framework is only required for the launcher, you should be able to run eu4.exe and play the game itself, until we or MS resolve your .NET issues.

Please try installing:

First: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

After that: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8328

Then: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
(If that doesn't do anything then http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 )

Then: visit the Windows Update site and allow it to apply all .NET updates/patches it wants to, for all .NET versions. If that still doesn't help you should try the .NET repair tool http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30135
